Over Grow is an operation in which cannabis seeds are planted in public places throughout the world. In addition it includes posters, leafleting and other ways to attract attention. The purpose of Overgrow is not to legalize cannabis, but to keep the debate on cannabis to be legalized. Over Grow would urge the public to learn about cannabis, as both plant and drug, and found their own perception of cannabis to be legalized or not.

In Sweden OverGrow started the first time in summer of 2007. Millions of cannabis seeds were sown and seedlings grew up outside of Sweden's most famous buildings. At the end of the summer had more than 30 articles about the surgery and the ever-growing cannabis movement appeared in Sweden's biggest newspapers.

What is Overgrow ?

By cultivating cannabis in general busy places, such as outside authorities, the roads, and parks. In their natural state, cannabis is a common weed that does not need much to grow. Therefore, cannabis can be planted in just about anywhere.

The actual seed is very nutritious and contains highly unsaturated fatty acids and proteins. Therefore sold certain varieties of cannabis seeds as bird seeds or food supplement in health food stores, pet shops and supermarkets all over the world. The seeds are usually found in packages labeled "hemp" or "hemp seed", because cannabis is the Latin family name for all hemp varieties.

These seeds produce plants that can not be used to manufacture the drug, because the levels of THC, one of the psychoactive substance in cannabis, is too low.

A little more info for those of you who are interested in this. Hemp is not illegal to plant or eat. So make sure to buy a few kilos of hemp seeds so you can plant anywhere!

It is bullshit but there you go.

My friend, this is a great idea and an excellent post;

I think I may do some planting of my own, like right outside all the local cop stations, and right outside our Parliment.

we are in the dark ages in this country when it comes to hemp amd the weed.

Hemp can also remove heavy metals and other toxins from the soil.

as you know, the oil from the seeds can be use as a fuel to run tractors and even air planes.

a board made from the hemp fibes is 2 and a half times stronger than steel.

Cannabis is the king and queen of plants - no doubt about that in my view.

now this is something in my taste!

I've been doing similar stuff but on a much smaller scale. For example did we leave a marijuana plant in a pot at our local school as a farewell greeting to our teachers. Seems as though the message didn't get through. Nothing in the local news. That was years ago.

I'm definitely down with this as I like rebellious actions in general. This is in the same spirit as graffiti or street art, a great hobby of mine. So why not bomb'em with buds instead of spray paint?
