Thanks for support and interest threw out this grow Tokage..

You are being to generous with the picture sizes,I dont know how easy it is for you to change the settings on it to auto pick the size so it resizes, like the other day I was editing and you had already done them lol and I ended up messing half of them up...

I dont mind doing them over but im thinking of whats easier for you and us,dunno if you could do it but set it as max size of the size you use as it looks much tidier, one thing I noticed when reading threw is how your edits look very tidy and mine vary, the actual 1st time putting picture in is way to big, comes out the thread wall..

Yea thats it at the end of the day, would people preffer me to sit here and lie or give total honesty on what I think?

I wouldnt have it any other way and to me being honest can only improve the straine,I see many people bitching and hating threw other forums about GHS be it hermies, phenos, genetics, yield and descriptions but thats no good,GHS needs to be told these problems so they can fix them and I honestly think fix them they will as if I was GHS I would see this thread and others and think right then, the indica doms fine but we need to work on the sativa dom a little (obviously this all depends on alot of things, mainly how many people are having the same problems)..

Now I always tell folk, dont bitch about a Breeder, get intouch and they will fix it,in my eyes francos replaced my bad few but Im at the point of view were I dont expect a pack of 10 seeds to give me 10 good plants that will be perfect,I think it would be very nieve to expect this from any straine but I do feel for those who are new and buy singles grow it like I did with my sativa doms and have to cull them....Once they have grow a while they will understand and do as I think most of us do buy a few seeds expect 5-10% to be good grow them, cull the others and clone from the others...

Alot of things can be the reason for failures,I was suprised as these sat doms I had were fine till they went in to Bloom but I had stressed my plants a few times while seedlings, could of been a number of things from me to the breed to the actual re seller who sold them to me...

ANY WAY UPDATE TIME...

Man Ive been terrible not keeping up to date on what weeks im on,I had to look on here to check when I put them in bloom lol as it seems like ive been in bloom way to long, when I said week 1 bloom that was more like week 2 or 3 so I think im near last 2 weeks, from what I read the blue cheese is a late bloomer and I do think that as the GHS cheese has really piled on the weight over last few weeks..

No real stretching with GHS exodus but most deffinetly has to be supported, even lower arms are heavy, crystals are every were,It does help to let the weight bend them down a little, this allows the bud to grow outwards and lets more light get to the hole branch,if they are growing up id say slightly bend the top bud so light gets to the buds under, this will improve light which increases growth but if there doing it naturally be very carefull as branches are real weak and will snap so give light support, you will need to use these supports to pull them out of the way of other main cola arms...

Now I always hear, expect 1/3 growth/stretch in bloom,I followed dfwis advice of 30-40cm veg and flip and I can report very small growth/stretch of main stem but id say the 1/3 strech is true to cola arms as there up at the height of the main stem cola, man my blue cheeses lowest node arm is higher then its main cola stem lol...I put this down to LST/Bending/breaking and it really does work.

OK,I made mistakes,I have 3 ghs exodus indica doms all look the same but I have noticed that the buds looked different from start, the 1s white hairs were really small, bud went dark quick (easily the quickest maturer) I dont know whats up but Its coming on real well, the other 2 have long white hairs, buds are realy starting to swell at this stage,I said I thought this plant would suprise me and suprising it me it is as on a daily basis you notice the swelling,I was a bit, cant think of the word, sceptical id get the weight dfwi gets but I think at this stage its going to be very close..

I think ive made my complaints/concerns clear and I cant give you answers to the smoke yet so I will give my final decision because at the end of the day,I grew this for my self as I wanted the closest thing to the cheese,so regardess of it looking/growing like the cheese,as long as the smokes the same I dont care..as I say I was sceptical about dfwi 200g yields but I cant see mine being far off and under ideal conditions, right pheno and what not I cant see why it shouldnt exceed it so I may do 1 in a 90 litre pot very soon as I do need a cash crop for xmas..

BLUE CHEESE UPDATE

These girls have big tits,no doubt about that,I sort of got in a situation with my 90 litre buckets,1 it was at the back of the room,2 its 90 litres so hard to move and 3 I chopped the sharing skunk#1 down,I didnt want to chop roots so I left the stem were it was but noticed it was rotting so it had to be removed,I was hoping to live it in and not have to un tangle roots or risk roots going manky as its so hard to get there to do res change,I left the res quite a while, plants just keeps going but started yellowing,in my opinion begging for a res change and fresh nutes,so It had to be done,at each corner of my room you probably have 2-3 foot max room,I got to say this but its far from a good growing enviroment when it comes to electrics and manual res changes..

The 10 litres are easy,I just change the complet bucket but the 90 litre???sorry, you got to climb threw that jungle (never putting a 90 litre at the back again, esson learned) I shoved al them close to each other which I was pushing my look as there all supported now so it was dragging arms here and there, generall nightmare took 2-3 hour of messing..

I hope she going to be ok,choped alot of what I think was skunk#1s roots out,I know theres a few left, dunno if I should get some zymes to eat it or just leave as only a few week left,I dont mind waiting a extra week due to stress caused from res change and roots being cut..

The other blue is perfect except for 1 colas leaves got bleached and burned a little, quite weird as there was a higher cola directly under the light with no problems what so ever, man the bending is really showing in this plant all branches have heavy nugs, lower ones are bent to grow out and are nearly as big as top colas,I will chop all plants in half and let the bottom half finish,by the looks of things there wil be very few pop corn buds..

I know this might be boring to most but if you are really interested in the cheese, its worth the read..

Im sorting pictures out now..

So whats left for me to do now?

Got my hygrometre a few week ago and dehumidifier in there, just maintaining 60% humidity at 28c lights on,increases a bit on lights off which is a concer, seen 72% think il be putting bigger humidifier in (ANY ADVICE ON THAT WOUD BE APPRECIATED)

Maintaining my blue cheese clones, they have started to re veg, threw a good 8 away and I will be throwing a few more as I wil be doing a nutes test with francos nutes.

white lemmons and ghs exodus seeds will be going in to germinate as there here for test,I will be mainly looking for a good sativa dom,may grow 1 good indica dom in 90 liter bucket as I need cash crop for xmas....

Thread on bubble bags and using all my trim will be done to create hash, apsolute beginner at this and cant wait to be honest..

Most importantly I may have problems curing/drying as I just dont have the room, this might mean shutting grow room down for a week, will depend on the size of yield but Im pretty much expecting atleast 30 oz im pretty sure the 90 litre blue will produe more and as we all know that will be up to 3-4x heavier while wet,Il go threw a good drying and curing process as I dont plan on selling as much as I could do with cash, the risks are just a bit to high were im from and could put my growing at risk....

Sorry to go on,i dont talk to any one and find this a place to unload...

I feel very anxious at the moment, mainy due to getting last crop robbed which was my home and I dont want it to happen,my filters causing noise which is a concern,to be honest its worrying me,ive got a fan controller and its at minimum but in the night I can hear it and think my neighbours can, upstaires and down but I see it like,if they have no idea about growing, they shouldnt suspect any thing, just that its summer and may be a fan,it sound like a boier, you know your main water boiler in the house?? sounds like that,in the day its not bad,its night when theres no one around,no cars,no noise, some thing il be working on come harvest, room just echos to much too..

Not much I can do now,I have a huge silencer on it,its vibration I recon,I might just be para as the air pumps are quite noisey too, insulating the wall and carpeting the floor might help,im not sure yet..

Any way, pictures coming, thank you for hearing me out..

Take care and happy growing

Now I see what you mean as im trying to keep track of your questions..

The darker ghs buds, could certainly be just a trait,I wouldnt consider it a pheno as it it exactly the same as my others,I really think its just a fast maturer and she will be first to get chopped..

Yes not to listen to dfwi who grows exactly the same but has much experience with this particular straine would be silly, good lad he is but so are most the forum ;-)

Yea I have lights,I preffer 1 600w duel spectrum to each plant and usually use up to 8 in my other grow place but here I think 4 would be pushing it,even 3 so I opted to use 2 600 watts and I tell you mate Its going to still be good,If the other 2 were in there I would of gone in with 4 and sorted the heat out..

Much advantages with 90 litres, the blue cheese in it says it all...

I grew skunk1 and blue cheese in same 90 litre but both just got to big in veg and grew in to each other which I dont like,im a strong believer that touching leaf will cause mould at some stage or slight mistake..

I recon I could get 4x the size out of the ghs cheese in 90 litre, loads of space for roots, better to grow 1 in 90 litre the 4 smaller,I have had 20 oz of UK cheese under 600w in a 90 litre..I will smoke the cheese and then determine as I like to use 90 litres for bud I like to get huger yields...

The rot,

Basicly I have no root rot mate but because ive chopped the skunk1 that was in the same 90 litre pot there roots were tangled so theres obviously dead roots in there that will rot..

I will keep a eye out,im guestimating 2-3 week left and if I notice il put some cannazyme in..

Not really any where to dry,I live in like a 3 block massionette and im middle so smell is a big issue,I do have a spare room but the problem is is this grow was suppose to be temporary and I go back to my both rooms but some thing in me says no,I willl try not to shut it but my carbon filter so big and needs to do the room,I guess I could get more ducting and extract from were I harves, they look quite big,2 of 5ft others are 3-4 ft..

Heres piccy,il come back to you toke..

I will get there one day Toke, lifes just a struggle at the minute,Just want a good run for a year with a chance of selling a bit (although not my intentions,Im getting strapped for cash)..

Heres a few more pictures,I honestly aint sure what week Im in,Id say 6 at the very least.

I have a microscope on the way and hope the trichys aint changed yet..

You know I have to agree with the ghs cheese over the blue from a growing and ease of growing point of view..

From what I read, the vitalink max bloom is not very good,Ive only used that with pk13/14 and the ghs has been nice and green, very rarely have a problem,a real pleasure to grow.

The only problems I would make new growers aware of is,ph fluctuation as a seedling will make it mutate and of course cause lock out of nutes which will show almost immediately in Hydro..

If GHS was to ask me what they could inprove on with this straine id really be stuck with the indica dom,id probably say cross it with some thing sativa to make it look like cheese but at the end of the day,I think that irrelevent if it smokes exactly the same,I do think this straine will have a spot in my room but it really does boils down to the smoke..

The indica dom does not stink as much as clone only cheese either, when bending a nugget,I noticed a lemmony smell which way out smelled the sicky, musty cheesey smell, the blue cheese blows them out of the water when it comes to stinking.

Im going to stop going in to detail, coming to the end of the grow any way,I have test ghs cheese popping this minute and will do a official test on it,im expecting better as these seeds were directly from ghs so I cant even consider the thought that re seller may not of stored or sent wrong stuff if you get what I mean..

Any way, sorry to go on,I think if your serious grower and your not into taking risks, what I write is worth the read,I know it gets a bit complicated and personnel and some times a bore ;-) but to me it get things off my chest and the way I see it is,im helping others who fancy it or are growing it or considering it,while at the same time,GHS can look and think of fixes to problems and with the ghys exodus indica dom there is nothing needed,I think its very much a good consistent pheno, genetic, very hardy plant that is a pleasure to work with and I really do think the smoke is going to be great, man I aint smoked threw the hole of this grtow so I think im going to be mongoled for a few days ;-)

Any way,pictures

Thanks for replies,I did think that, picture quality is just not that great and when the HPS just gets switched on it tends to go threw a few colours before reaching max output, pictures are pretty much cought just at lights on.

I will have to get a decent camera and a flourescent tube, small one for pictures...

Man,I think I got quite a bit coming, just worrying a little about the drying process,I so need some cash off this but I really do hate hustling to try find bulk buyers or even ozs,its kind of funny how people will pay £220 for shit bud but not £160 for real good bud or may be its me being to para and just not wanting to take the risks...

Will be doing Bubble Bags for Hash ;-) 1st time ever, cheese hash and blue cheese hash,I seen milo showing of the cheese in hashes, very interesting...

Hey RIX!

Your posts are very good man, but far too big for what is possible to get sometimes after we smoked a few j's! ;)

I do read it but I think many of what you say we would like to ask instead in chat for example. and I know at least tokage will ask ;)

Even the best photographers in the world take thousands of pictures to in the end use just 5 6 max. You could also do it and without loosing the wonderful info you put in your posts, very educational. I praise to that as a learning user here.

Anyway, one way or the other I will keep watching and learning something too :)

Take care

Hi,

Yes,you are right, bit to much information but if some one wants to really educate them self on Hydro or these straines, the information is here for them...

Other Journals,I will be just editing the picture post an adding pictures rather then a long threa.

Think ive also unloaded a bit of my personnel life to on here which I wont be doing.

Was intended to help newbs with not alot of cash started and build as they go aong but it just varied a few to many times...

Any way.

UPDATE 20/07/11

I think I know why the 1 ghs exodus stayed small and mayured quicker,I used pk13/14 booster on all the rest and not her, this makes me think that pk13/14 prolongs the flowering period there for giving it more time to get fatter..

Ive force dried a bit of the darker maturing ghs cheeseand it smokes nicely, cant quite give a smoke report and it wasnt dried propery, but I will tell you this, its very close to cheese...

Another thing ive noticed which I think people with out microscopes should take on board,I dont think they are ready when pistels change orange or brown, its when the corn fills the engh of the pistel your close,I cant 100% this as im still waiting for my microscopes, order 2 last week, still not here...

Ive dried some of the blue, again same,I cant give accurate smoke..

I thinkmost are not ready but my 1 ghs has been for a while,I just want to wait for microscope proof pluss I want to cut all down at once..

Another thing I never took in to account was the odd week here and there recovery for each time there stressed, which makes your 8week grow in to 10+ week grow..

Any way some piccys, think these are just the blue cheese, not smoked this one yet,its off the 90Litre,tried the 10 litre and made me really para which I do not like,I smoke weed to keep away from this para, might just be the stage it is at..

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

It was a branch off a lower main branch,it was Bent a few weeks ago,not much light going down there and when I went past I thought I had broke it off so puled it,then realised it was one id bent in first few week of flower ;-( not one I should of picked but oh well..

Little-Big Upate

OK then, After thinking they were ready the other week and flushing them a few days 1 of each straine started getting light leaves,my microscope come,I checked trichs which were not ready and then changed buckets to a weak dose of nutes..

The 2 that yellowed never recovered, leafs eventualy went brown and started dying so I just chopped the ghs cheese and flushed the blue cheese..

FINAL THOUGHTS

OK although not completely finished il share my opinions on the ghs cheese plant.

Grew taller then other 2 sisters, not much leaf to bud as there is with the others, more bud and less leaf, lanky type plant but not to lanky, not at all to stretched, lolly popped it in early flower too..

Weight was just under 5 oz

opinions are on just this plant not the straine,I thought id add...

Lemmony smell when you open the buds up or mess with them (not what cheese does),hung dry for 3-5 days an some jarred from the 5th day..

Growth Pattern,

More Inica or real cheese in soil type of growth, some leafs on early ghs cheese were double serrated and looked exactly like cheese but I chopped them due to irreguar growth deformation or what ever.

Ease of growin

I rate this ate amateur to pro,pro coud work with it and get max yields and not worry to much, newbs would need to watch out for heat stress and defficiencies and most of all PH,plant likes ph 5.5-5.9 any over and it will start to stress immediately...Took hi humiity well in veg till I got de humidifiers but id be extra carefull in flower..

Plant likes Bending LST,pinching, ive noticed that bottom arms tend to catch up with main cola but the main heads under the main cola seem to stay small??? while the other grow huge..

Smoke,

now this bud is a smooth smoke when slightly wet and gets a little harsher as it cures,it gives couch locking effect, major red eye, looks big in ozs, gets brilliant smell from jar curing, really crispy in paper bag method,go back to paper bag if moist from jar...

Overall, for a early cut plant it was Banging and id say its a 7/10 I will grow again but I would want bigger yields and less hasle with support..The real cheese would put me off growing this again though as this is not the cheese,it only resembles the same effect as the cheese, its is most deffinetly the closest smoke and effect ive had from a seed straine but coulnt be so far away when it comes to resemblence and smell, might just be this pheno,I highy doubt its the fact it was cut early as both the others still have that lemmony smell,if you had could this straine some thing lemmon and indica dom I woud of been like, well thank you thats what I got but I bought theese as ghs exodus cheese and there nothing like it so technicly why would I be happy?I shouldnt be right??

well yes an no,it gives same effect when smoked as cheese, taste could be very close too but I wanted big yiels off a sativa dom cheese palant which this is not....

The weirdest thing is is,when they were in veg, they stunk of the cheese but since flower this lemmony smells completely dominated the plant...

For those buying it,

If its for commercial and cash like the real cheese,it will sell but dont expect the atleast 10oz yields youd get from real cheese on the other hand it grows smaller, dont stink as bad in flower so you could put 2 of these were youd put 1 real cheese and most likely make up the yield.

I will real cheese back very soon.

ADVICE

PH 5.5-5.9,Humidity 50-65% particular attention in flower, room temps 20-30c high temp low humidity so balance it but watch roots rotting.....Super crop and pinching++++ If you can try grow from clown as they may yiel better then mom..Almost forgot,SUPPORT,needs support to every Branch as branch is weak even after having fan strenghen them.

OK

BLUE CHEESE 10L

I'l try keep it Tidy

FINAL THOUGHTS

Not very good (may be due to being chopped early) was a pleasure to grow, looked promasing..

Again, thought it was ready so started flushing, got microscope and no amber but leaves were yellowed and all dying, eventually crisping so I just flushed for 5 days and de leafed each day till wednesday then hung it,this got sold straight away I kept 1oz il tell you more threw each part I fill in,dry weight was just under 6oz,that could of doubledd if not for leaves dying...

SMOKE

DDay time smoke, not a couch locker, few complainers saying it dont stone them, its more of a excuse or simple fact its showing more sativa high and a high that resembles early cut bud which they know nothing about, they just want couch lock ddo nothing all day but the people who know bud say its fine £240 a oz bud,I ont sell but needed some money off this grow to get my future more stable so people are jumping on it at 160..

Not a night time smoke, youl be up all night smoking and on the net getting all smart reading all details ;-)..

Smells very much like the cheese but has hints of blue berry/berry type smell undertone type smell, not really a tight bud i say semi tight but very fluffy type bud,the colour is weird..

GROWTH

Resembles the real cheese aswell as skunk#1 while growing, tall, wide, thick, branchy with hand size fan leaf, buds come quick an fast, takes stress in its strie but be carefull as seedlings over watered will deform..

PH 5.5-6.1/6.3 max, takes high humidity well in veg but watch out in flower, likes all techniques but dont really need any as it grows big like cheese any way,may be top it if to tall.

ADVICE

Find a right booster or get a microscope and big bucket an this is a huge yielder but for me at the minute with what ive tried, the high is not for me..I done pinching/supercropping and bending, took it all well but picture how wide you want your plant and then bend with that thought in mind...If your town aint seen blue cheese before or for a while, just o 1,get clones and see what people think...

RATING

7/10 and thats for the plant I grew,it was early but yielde nearly 6oz,it was easy to grow, nees ittle support, gets loads of main colas too...Will I grow it again, not sure but I sort of have to as I have 8 just starting to flower so I do hope the other I have gives me a different high when finished correctly, atleast I have tried it threw out all the stages, now Im just waiting for amber stages but then you could bring phenos in to the hole thing ;-)

To be fair the ghs cheese is indica dom so would of been more closer to finish then the blue and these 2 plants shouldnt be took to serious as they were not finished correctly..

I do think you can easily see from my hole grow if these straines are for you or not,id say for now and what people want ghs cheese is ok but i need more yield for the room,im popping 10 seed to get some good ones for test as ive been real busy lately,Im also moving so more room for other straines..

Il be back soon with piccys, you ot take care

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
