Ladyburn 1974

14 posts in this topic

hello,

i recently aquired some GHS ladyburn 1974. before i go any furhter i would just like to say that by aquired i mean it was the only packet in the shop. i usually research the strain i want to grow but the shop was sold out of every thing else, so i took the last pack of 5 FEM on a whim and was just hoping that i had done good.

got home and i looked them up on the GHS web site, although there was not much info. it is a cross between Jack Herrer and Ice Dream, so i had a look at the Jack and its a goody but didn't get much on the ice dream.

if any one has any info please reply, im starting to feel a bit stupid not researching this one, but its new on the market i think. hopefully someone has a grow review or something that they forgot to post it lol

anyway any help appreciated

well i had a bad experience with this plant.... 6 weeks into flowering and all my other plants were giving out the buds big time but the ladyburns bud were like tiny and pish looking so i binned them

perhaps you will have better luck.... i had 2 different phenotypes of the ladyburn and they both had the same poor bud quality.... have got pics if you want a peek

perhaps i just had bad seeds - so by all means have a grow with them and good luck

hope they work for you

I have 5 of these ladies in veg. Had 5 seeds, all sprouted. 2 phenos + a mutant (no main tip, branches madly, some flattened stems... funny little creature). The four "regular " ones are quite vigorous even I had some troubles (Mg-deficiency and overferting... but hey, this is my first semi-serious hydro-grow, still in the learning curve). They do seem to be pretty picky about the nutes. 1,20 EC is what they appear to like right now (1+ feet high and quite bushy). It is possible that the nute-sensitivity was just a symptom of the Mg-hunger, but I would still be careful with the ferts in the beginning. I´ll start flowering soon and will be wiser in the future. Good luck with the grow.

hey earthman - here are some pics of the ladyburn you requested by inbox - these pics were taken at week 6 of flowering and i binned them shortly after... Perhaps someone has ideas but their poor growth - certainly would be valuable information as it seemed such a sweet plant up until i put her into flower

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
