hi drgreenthomb i think the 600 watts is to big for you size shed. shed size needs about 250 watt,or more air than you can throw at it. safe bro good luck.

You're confused Discovery2.

This post wasnt mine.

I have a tent too with a 400w on the flowering area, and two florescent tubes of 30w each one. One cool and the other warm for vegi.

The area for flowering is only 60cm deep for 1.2 large and 1.5 m tall.

With only one small window for the air entrance im thinking how to open more without getting light inside.

I'll make some pics to ilustrate it better tomorrow.

Cheers

Just hang your carbon filter next to the light and you will be fine You really got to watch the size you grow your plants in these, had plenty of bad experience with burning/heat stress and mould.. Kept at a distance from the light and the walls and using a oscilating fan you should be good, add ducting to 1 flap and try get intake fan or simply put oscilating fan in front of bottom breather flap.. Tents are good but have there problems, main problem for me is I can only put 1 plant in that sort of size and then struggle when buds touch walls,Ive had 1.2x1.2x2m high exploding with 1 plant og cheese under 600w.. Il prove it,1 sec heres a piccy and why I stopped using tents, Photobucket UK clone cheese at around week 4-5 veg. I think youd struggle with any plant I have growing at the minute, there all taking 1.2m square.. They have there advantages but if you have choice of room or tent,id pick room.. PhotobucketPhotobucket Photobucket Really keep a eye out for condensation too. sorry mods,it wont let me go advanced to edit pictures.

That is a huge plant - I've seen many tents with more than 6 smaller sized pots growing in there - main problem should be the ventilation and ECO Filter, when flowering in that place it might give an odor through the front door and leak out, unless you can vent it outside a window or into a chimney hole.

Otherwise it is a good grow room. 600 w is overkill imo. Maybe with a Cool Tune, but under 1,20 By 1,20 by 2,00 m most tents are rated 400 watts. 600 watts will cost you 50% more on the already high electricity bill.

Don't know your rates, but where I live a 400 watt tent will cost you around 140 Euro per month ! So 70 Euro by 3 = 210. You could invest in more effective lights for the money.

But hey have fun and success !

It needs more careful plan and design for the space to make it more attractive.

HI mate

i also have a small tent,

it is 1.6tall110wide,65deep

at first i had problems with heat as i had a 600w in it,but i got a cooltube and a digi ballst so i could go down to 75% power and now im sitting at 25 top 17 bottom,

and around 40% hum most times

so it can be done with some playing around,

im sure if u put that 400 into a cooltube u will be good then.but make sure you do not put the fan to close to the cooltube or it will bugger it up with the heat

if u want to see my set up let me kno,,

another good thing would be a temp controler,u could put an intake on to it and when cold enough it will switch off,

u can get those on ebay for around 14

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
