Hi guys, a friend of mine has a white widow plant that has some yellow spots on its leaves and he told me they are growing. Anyone know what is causing them and how to cure it ?

Here are some pics of the plant.

I think maybe the soil is not the best wen it comes to drainage, probably too compact at some points forming pockets of water and at the same time dry spots too. ;)

Nothing more then that. Just prepare soil better next time :)

For now you can try to hurd the top soil a bit, gently but about 2-4 cms deep and try to water uniformly around the stem, soaking the root ball first, then side-drenching. it will help not to spread the spots if the soil alows it, couple of weeks and there it will be no new spots.

also a drop of kitchen soap to the water will help distribute the water more uniformly trough the soil, if not to muddy.

If I were you I would fill the space that is left after the root ball went further down since you prepared the hole first, fill it with hydroton balls or something that helps disperse the water to the soil once you are watering or it rains until they reach the same level of the surrounding soil that was not digged. Dont forget to hurd the top soil first! ;)

The soil seems too muddy, next time just had perlite and some hydroton balls to the mix, maybe around 20%. seems swampy soil...

take care

It does look like as deficiency, but it is hard to tell from the pictures, exactly which deficiency it is;

cover all the bases and give your plant a foliar feed of half strength nutrient, early in the morning before the sun is really hot.

take care
