Switching from 250w to 600w for the last 2 weeks of flower

Recommended Posts

i understand that switching from 250 to 600w will increase yeild, especially if the growing space is also greater. BUT, if the switch is done after the plant has already flowered for 8 weeks under 250w, will it shock the plant and affect quality?? Thanks!

LOL....Isnt going to do anything in the last two weeks. They arent even feeding. Taking in a little bit of water maybe, plus you should be leaching/clearing. Would just be a waste of power. Should have done it in week 2 or 3. At least your good for your next one, lol.

I can't say that I agree with the last couple posts respectfully :D

It seems as long as you don't over do it with light intensity and bleach your plants, more light should always help the production.

More light means more photosynthesis, which means more energy and nutritents moving around in the plants :D

So I'll always stick more light in whenever I can, as long as it's not too hot.

Besides, an 8 wk strain under a 250w HPS will probably need a couple more weeks to finish anyways, as the breeder aren't growing with 250w HPS, but rather several 600s or 1000w bulbs. So that "8wk" strain might go 10-11wks if you've stressed it in the least.

So I'd advise cramming the light in for sure :D

No expert tho(not even close lol), just speaking from experience.

I have a 600w HPS and a 380w T5VHO in 1, 4x4x7 tent. The 600 is always on, and the T5VHO I turn on and off throughout the day, but I've seen the different that a little more light makes for me this past summer run :D

bless
