Cultivando sueños - Growing dreams

Hello, Mr. X! I must say that I am very impressed with your LED grow. I myself am currently in the middle of performing an experiment in LED technology. I have always been an indoor grower, specifically in hydroponics. I am a person that is very concerned for the environment, so I am attempting to find a more environmentally friendly way to grow.

I have a few questions regarding your current grow if you do not mind. I would like to know diode wavelengths for your current lighting. I see that you are only using 240 watts, so obviously you have reached a level of efficiency that I have yet to see anywhere else.

I live in the US where many people use growrooms and lights for the same purpose that they consume everything else.... a display of masculinity =). They think that you need 10000 watts per square meter to make it impressive. This is obviously an over exaggeration but I am sure that you get the point.

I have recently started a thread on Strain Hunters that you have visited, but I am so unfamiliar with this technology, that I believe that I may lean too hard toward caution to successfully record vitals regarding this grow. I am under 2 UFOs (90w ea) in a roughly .5 meter x 2 meter closet. I have been going with half strenght nutrients (650ppm/ .9-1.0EC) for vegetative growth due to my lack of experience with LED. I have been raising the nutrient content by 5% to find the sweet spot. In your experience with LED, where do you find yourself mixing your nutrients in comparison to High Pressure Sodium?

Thank you for any input that you might have. Your grow looks great.

Thank you very much friend, is a matter of practice, are many years taking pictures and finally the results come out.

For the issue of background, we have two common options, one that is the case, I force the flash to shoot very fast,

with that with only what is near is captured, getting darker all around the main reason,

then with the defendant I can darken a bit more what interests me to continue to highlight the point of care.

The other way is to calculate depth of field and opening or closing the aperture of the camera, we can select

that part of the photo is in or out of focus. There are applications like this to help it, I leave a link handy.

Of course the ideal in my case, for this type of photo is to combine both, and put on a dark background.

Amazing, indeed is a tough camera, I've had trips over an incident with it, I've dropped it rained, it has been beaten from the trees ...

and seems to still be all right! Very good video, thanks for stopping Dust, Fuzzy brother!

Come up with some photos, hope you like! :brunette:

Hi Mr X,

Just had a look through your forum threads. Amazing pictures and lovely looking plants. I'm sure we could all learn a lot from you especially when it comes to LED's!

I must admit i was very keen on buying some LED's but i have been put off by the constant change in opinions from growers who have used them. However from your grow the results look wicked!

Which lights are you using and do you recommend any particular manufacturer or combination of LED's?

You mentioned that other people have not had good results with LED's but it's because you do SOG? Can you elaborate or have i misread your conversation? (bad google translator) :-S

Anyway i'll be definitely following your threads.. The photo of your 'dracula' trichomes is crazy!

:brunette:

Greetings and thank you very much for the comments, Panacea do not know what is the best brand of LEDs, I have used several and I have now are the best I've had, but I think there's a new version.

I use evo90, the trademark "evoled", you can search on their website and discussed the specifications you need.

In sog works best because it is the most productive system with any type of light and in this more, because we try to have the lights about to use its full power with almost no heat, so plant

too long may not grow well in the bottom. Although you can also put your leds on the sides intend to sativas high.

The LEDs do not help to grow better or worse, if you're good in sodium with LEDs have the same but spending less light because they spend less, need less extraction and ventilation, and last longer. Sodium bulbs

be changed every year and a half or so. LEDs 5 to 10 years.

Giovanni thanks for commenting, I don´t know the wavelengths, but you can send an email to their website, but I think there's a new model and modified some of the features.

Mopman thanks brother are working on it, to see if we can soon for download, but I have to select and prepare all the pics in high resolution, take a while, thousands ...

Thanks again to all for stopping by!! :brunette:
