wich one to Scrog ?

19 posts in this topic

I am micro grower searching for strain advice. My setup is two square feet scrog with 20 l pot (~5 galon). I just can't pick strain between AH#3, SSH, SLH, so maybe wich one would yield best in my setup, or just biggest difference would depend on pheno cause in my conditions it would somewhat equal i guess? I have never grown sativa dominant before so maybe wich high would be better for the first time own sativa ? or maybe do you know other strain to begin ? Also searching for respones growers with experience in high quality why do they loved them :))))

good luck ;)

how huch head room u got? vertical space. some sativa domanant will stretch alot in flower and can get too tall for some scrog set ups.

i personaly have scrogged for years and would recomend a less sativa dom. plant. i have a book on scrog and they reccomend 60%sat.40% ind. i have a post on the subject. http://www.strainhunters.com/portal/node/7328 the book is called secrets of the west coast masters by dru west

vertical space isn't an issue i hope i won't need second net ;) i would choose ah#3 i think it would be wise cause it's said to be midget sativa but super hazes applays more by the potency in my research.

still looking for few more repleys

bozoph thanks for information and did you have experience in scroging long internode strains, i am asking because with no experience i think it can be hard to fill net with (bud near bud). question is it wouldn't be buds with a lot spaces and only stems under the net ? is it silly question ? :D

IMG_0515.JPGif head room isnt an issue, than any strain could work. and yes under the net is usally no growth allowed cuz it wont get really good light. its better to direct growth to tops.

hello mate,

I would go for Arjan's haze 3. She is a very short sativ; she does not streach much, and is very high yeilding;

here is a picture of one i grew:

and here is a picture of a dried haze 3 bud:

if you post and need some help with it, please let me know.

take care

I appreciate your help john. For this moment i would eliminate SSH . I am in TROUBLE with ah#3 yield and with outstanding smoke reports SLH. It's hard one for me because in mirco grow yield quantity qualifies next to smoking pleasure sadly, what about ah3 potency or any comment about high ? :)

currently running The Church grow, flowering 34 days.

I love haze 3, mate;

it is a great day smoke, but is not particularly potent.

Have you thought of growing Arjan's haze one.

this plant is very potent with the smell of mangoes, but unlike the haze 3, it has a little more of an indica bud and growth structure.

I have got over 230 grams from a haze 1 plant that was no more than about 1 meter high by the time i had nipped and trained her.

The haze 1 is by far the most potent of the two strains.

take care

john

flowers to he ... your advice with AH#1 is very a appealing, but i searched for the info. it looks that this haze grows like real monster. Can you tell me what height do you flower them to finish 1 meter ? :)

it could be real to get between 30-50 grams at my growbox. Just speaking mym mind ;)

I am a micro grower too.

cab 45cm x 45cm (18" x18")

That Haze 1 looks a good choice.

All the super cropping tecniques are usful in such small spaces (crimping, fimming, bending, lst and topping)

I am currently scroggin a supercritical auto with great results - http://www.strainhunters.com/portal/comment/24598#comment-24598

Good luck with which ever haze you pick smetona.

Will be nice to follow your blog when you have choosen.

Peace to the highest

hi Tokage,

the bucket is 10 liters, and the pot is 52 liters(one pot inside another, one pot has drainage and the other pot holds any over flow from it.

this plant yield well over 200 grams dried and cured.

take care mate,

john

the top plant is around 1 meter once i trained her.

You would have to nip her and train her.

If you flowered her after veging for say 3 weeks, she would triple in height, but would yield, I think, close to what you want.

You want 50 grams from her, then I think nip her at the fourth internode, then at the 6th, train her abit for a few days, and then flower her.

the buds are huge if you give her a lot of light.

take care

john

John you are very helpful ;) i will go with haze 1 for sure after such great comments ;)))

i have few last questions, when streching comes to end at the flowering stage, 3-4 week or even longer ? and one more question about technic side, what light intensity is sufficient for haze strain? now, i am growing for the fird time and only indica dominant, so the 3000 lm/ square feet gives me adequate results. Haze strans need more intensive light, so i will update to 4000 lm/feet^2 and maybe i would have chance to reach my goal ;))

any corrections ? :)

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
