Hey Jimmy,

Yes Day 96, I planted up on 17th November I put them to flower at 13.5hrs of light on 23rd Dec but first pistils did not show till 20th Jan.

Today they are now Day 98 I promise, look back through journal you'll see when I started it, I think it was 13.5 hrs of light that made them take longer to show signs of flowering.

I bought the plant propogators at my local £1 store, perfect for the job, I did have a soda bottle over it but the plastic isn't as clear as the propogator and so far she seems to be alive at least otherwise I'm sure the leaves would have wilted by now, took cutting Monday.

Just noticed on the above pics some of pistils starting to turn orange/brown so they're on their way to finishing, can't wait they look and smell lovely.

Well Toaor, what can I say those pictures are stunning, absolutely amazing resin production.

Are you still using the same 120w LED panels? I'm also wondering if you have more than one in your space?

I must admit i never liked the name "Ice dream" after being given a non-dairy icecream substitue called "Rice dream", to say it was disgusting is putting it mildly. After seeing these pictures it has helped me to put these memories behind me and form now on when i see the words "Ice dream " i will only think mmmmm.

I look forwards to future updates.

Keep it up fella, really showing how LED can produce some awesome looking bud.

Hey Lamsbread, yes still using 120 w LED panels and yes I have two of them in my tent when plants in flower and just one when vegging.

I am glad to be of therapeutic assistance to bad memories, I'm sure Ice Dream will now make you mouth water with pleasure, not that I'm using any embedded commands now, lol

I think the only real difference that I can ascertain is that LED growing seems to take longer to flower plants to max as everything I've grown has taken longer than seed companies say.

Ice Dream supposed to be 9 wks, I changed lights down to 13.5 hrs 23rd Dec, then down to 12hrs in Jan, first pistils 20th Jan and we'renow 2nd March - 10 wks and they are definitely not ready loads white pistils just the odd one or two going orange/brown.

Yes lots of resin on buds and surrounding leaves and smell lovely, I seem to have three phenos though, one plant is tiny like a little Bonsai lots of little buds. One has long Sativa like buds and the other one has nice compact rounded bud formation.

I reckon another two weeks before they're ready but I could be wrong and they all change orange/brown in next week. Under microscope pretty much all Trichomes are clear or cloudy with just the odd one or two here and there starting to go amber.

Nice observation about LED and Flowering time.

When i read that the pistils were still what with only a few red/orange i wondered to my self , is this because a Hps would be hotter and the pistils would wither quicker.Then i read your observation about the tricromes and that they were clear to milky and i realised they are a good indicator of maturity.Though could heat be a factor when it comes to the state of the tricromes changing colour?

LED lights do throw up some interesting questions and finding the answers to these questions is equally interesting.

Day 112 !!!!

Hello everyone, yes you read that right day 112.

Just given the Ice Dreams plain tap water at pH 6.8 and refreshed the CO2 bottles with yeast, sugar and water mixture.

Planning on cropping this weekend coming as I can't be arsed to wait any longer and I'm out of smoke !!!

Here's today's pics, sorry but they are not the psychedellic colours as normal took pictures under normal lighting, hope you like them.

Great photo's. Those sugar leaves will sure make some nice hash.

4 months is a long enough to be waiting,I'd do the same thing,no smoke is no joke.

Decided to crop the smallest Bonsai Ice Dream, I'm out of smoke and can't be arsed to wait any longer, these are pictures of the crop, which is not a lot maybe 1/4 Ounce.

Hi Guys, quick update for you.

I dried some super fast in cardboard box with 2 x silica gel bags inside on top of radiator took 24 hrs for the first smoke, which although a little green tasting was still quite smooth on the throat.

Nice pleasant head buzz with no couch lock at all.

I'll probably have some more of the upper buds off the two remaining girls but not going to take them all as some have definitely still got some time to go further down the plants.

Will post pics when I do.

Day 124 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Guys & Girls,

Eventually I've cut down another Ice Dream still not convinced she was absolutely ready but with no smoke she had to come down. The buds are drying in cardboard box with 2 x Silica Gel bags in with them temp around 20-23C humidity around 50%.

I've left the one topped plant with six main colas to go another few days as she is much bigger than either of the other two and is still throwing out new white pistils at the very top, she will yield twice what the other one has, which is probably three times what I got off the little Bonsai Ice Dream.

On another note, my 2 x White Rhino x Skunk#1 are showing pistils now, the one I grew from seed took 15 days to show but the three leaf clone took 21 days so will be interesting to see if they flower differently as they are exactly same strain just one from seed the other from clone.

The one from seed I attempted to FIM but pretty much just topped her, except for one stem that is growing from the cutting site so she actually has five main stems that will flower nicely.

The clone has been topped and topped so she has around 15 main stems and lots of secondary stems growing well, nice bushy little girl starting to stretch out a bit now in flower.

I'm only going to have those two plants staying in tent, then will switch to outdoors in summer.
