What to do?

Got 18 lights divided into two rooms. No floor drains. Was planning on using the GH waterfarm that I have been experimenting with but for 100 plants the investiment is to expensive. But the convience of water not being everywhere and the pain in the ass of watering each individual pot and somehow containing the run off it seems like a great investiment. Just cant afford it right now, on top of everything else. Anybody know of any cheaper versions or have any ideas?

And you only want to grow hydro? or soil could be a possibility?

But i agree with you hard choice for this amount of plant, tho i have no experience in hydro but i guess a classical nft or any drop system at this size will be expensive, maybe finally the waterfarm will be the solution

Isn't there a way to make "cheap" but effective waterfarm yourself? it would be some work from yourself but maybe worth the economy

It's a hard go. GH's water farm actually only uses air and gravity. No pumps, like traditional deep water culture. It's a brilliant set up that has been working great for my mom's. This is a medical grow so i'm limited to 100 plants exactly. I could use soil but there would be water all over the place after waterings. I would have to build troph's or tables to contain the water.

I've done it all, but am new to actually vegging bigger plants for production. Might have to use soil with big saucers and vacuum all the saucers after each watering. Just looking for convience cause I have 4 medical grows to maintain. LOL

IMHO a flood or drip system would be ideal

otherwise build up a foot from the ground and have the water run off into something

watering that many plants is a PITA for sure

vegging big means they bloom big... make sure you have the clearance before getting determinded to grow big

If i were you I'd group sections of plants under one light or two lights and make yourself flood tables

it will be the least labour intensive upkeep and fairly easy to trouble shoot

There's actually 3 rooms. Room 1 is 19' x 18', Room 2 is 14.5' x 18', and Room 3 is 11' x 9'. The ceilings are high and because of the limited number of plants I figured I wouldnt get the max yeild out of any flood and drain, or drip systems on tables. I used to specialize in both of those in my beginning years. And I've pretty much retired my Ecogrow's.

I'm probly goin with big pots w/ saucers underneath and vacuuming the excess out of each one.

I've currently got Kalashnikova, Super Silver Haze, Super Lemon Haze, Sensi Star and L.A Confidential goin as mothers. Rooms 1 and 2 will be mostly Kalash and some SLH, Room 3 will be Sensi Star for the first and L.A on the second show. (The L.A mom's take awhile to produce enough clones)

Planning on a two week veg on the Kalash, Probly about 6 days on the SLH and 3 weeks with Sensi Star. Shooting for over 2 Lbs per 1000w on this one.

I agree. Just need to knock one off first, then upgrading. Don't know how long the Canadian government will allow medical growing so not willing to invest so much money and time until after at least one crop, lol.

you should be able to get away with two crops at minimum.

The goverment might not be allowed to make the changes

those court dates are set for March unless the government has asked for YET ANOTHER extention.

Trying to figure out my spacing for these rooms. Does anyone know where to find the stats on the Kalshnikova from the grow video? Height and width?

Thinking 4-5 plants per light... but need these stats to get it right.

Well i think you can only find that on the grow video itself yet. But i don't think anything is beeing said about plant size, only leaves width and internoedal length sometimes.

Ya, I watched the whole thing again.... only in the beginning they disclose plant height... then fade to nothing but THC and shit. I figured they veg 15 days with a 600w, so i could veg like 11 days with a 1000w and get the same result? Starting to wire up and then its plant placement time.

I don't think veg difference between 600w and 1000W first fifteen days will be big, if not the same, because in her early stage of veg plant doesn't take as much lumens as in late veg or bloom.

But notice on the video if my memory is right, they go from clone, and then give the clone 15 days of veg

So from seedling will take a little longer, but i guess with this amount of plant you will probably grow from clones

I have 3 x 1000 MH on 8 ft movers. Mothers are on GH's Waterfarm and a couple in smartpots with BX Promix. As I said before SSH, SLH, Kalashnikova and Sensi Star... Just started LA Confidential from clones to get kush in the mix. I can produce 1500 clones a month right now.

Get a drip sistem. u can custom it to the desired amout of drips by buying the pipes and hoses, and then put it on a timer.
Use a table just to have where to drain the runoff water of all pots. Instead of saucers on each pot you have a huge saucer to all pots and with drainage.

Decided to build my own tables. There going to be 5' x 15' each. With a sink drain at one end that is plumbed into an up-flush that is piped to a sink or toilet. Going to have 5 plants per 1000w HPS. 21 lights in total. Kalashnikova in the main two big rooms and Sensi star in the smaller room. Wish me luck.

Not my first grow by far, but medical yes. Got approved for more than expected so adding some plants, going down to 17 lights, vegging for 4 weeks now and topping.
