i resentlly desided i was gonna start growing my own medicine.

to give you alittle idea of my background with cannabis, i used to grow outdoors every seaon but i would do it with a group of people.

besides this grow i have never grow cannabis indoors by myself so this is my first attempt at growing under artifical light.

i have 2 plants under the sun systems 150w hps: the auto blueberry got really tall for an auto, so to beef up the lower buds i added 4 four foot cfls tubs.

i was really short on money and i made a mistake with buying cheap soil. i used miracle grow which ill never use again but you learn from you mistakes and next time the crop will be that much better.

im doing this as a hobby so i went really low tech just ph'd water and alittle dutch nutrient formula bloom nutrients but thats it nothing fancy.

on my next grow i will use some LST but this time i just let them go natural anyways i hope you enjoys the results.

thanks alot im really glad i was able to figure out how to post these pics have gone through the grow journals on this site and there are a lot of top notch growers here so i figured f anywhere i would be able to get help with having a decent crop it's be here. its funny but like i always used to be under the impression that growing indoors would cost way to much so i never bothered with it. but for quite few years me an my friends would travel to my buddys cottge in mountin range in qubec and we'd plant 100's of plants but in doing this you take on alot of risk but we figured we could make alittle money and help out are local dispensary but im really glad i got out of that because two year after i stopped my buddies who where doing it still all got arrested and are lookin at some serious jail time but alot has happened to me since then i was diagnosed with chrons disease a problem i was dealing with for a long time but never got a diagnoses to what was wrong until about 2 years ago and i found my self in a situation where insted of selling meds to the dispensary i was buying meds from them and now had my government licence having this licence free'd me up to try taking on some indoor growing without the fear of being arrested . but what raally started me going because i figured you needed really exspensive lights and alot of space and i live in a one room apartment until i read a book from a guy called see more buds its called buds for less grow 8 oz of bud for less then 80$ in this book see more buds documents a small cfl grow where he gets ruffly 8 oz off of 3 plants. i was impressed i figured if he can do that so could anyone so i figured i would start one of my own and document it so other people can see it and realize they too can grow some decent bud in the closet with very little money. insted of the cfl i desided to spend alittle more money and go with hps everyone says its better so all and all i probably spent 180$ to get started and im looking at a decent amount off each plant every two months im not sure what ill get but i think it should be decent they both have alittle time befor they are finnished to swell up but ill post the weight of my finished dry product when im done unfortunatly i cant update as much as want durng this grow my camera isent the best so i have to borrow my friends good camera when wanna take pictures but thatll probably be the next thing i buy so can update regularly each crop i do.

Good post Greeno, a medical self sufficent eco grow - nice.

did this myself a couple of seasons ago and did ok. think theres better strains for medical use than GOM but the DP blueberry is ok im smoking it now and i harvested in July this year so its worth the effort and risk. The auto big bang is better for the pain relief ( i have R arthritu is knees and wrist) and it does the job. Lookin forward to the next post, good luck

Anyway, got some tips for you that havn't been mentioned yet.

right now the cheapest most benifical addition you can make would be to cover those cupboard walls.

b/w poly or white paint will do quite well, Mylar is good if you wanna get fancy.

I've personally used DNF, its alright. some of my strains liked it, most didn't.

Advanced Jungle Juice is my current go too.

as for the B/W poly and the Mylar they can be purchased and jsut about any hydro store and are generally 1$ and 2$ respectivinly per foot( well 4 ft wide 1 foot deep)

if you are in the GTA and your store doesn't have PM i cna give you direction to a store that will, ( i know i'm in that store all the damn time and no i don't work there, yet atleast...)

If you decided to go with the paint. flat white is what your after, and unless you have a stellarly even hand i'd go with the matte as the gloss can change the light depending on layers and thickness of paint.

If you got those 4 ft T5's they are great lights.

With proper ventilation you would be able to get away with a larger light or a second light of similar wattage.

and an additional note, you might want to consider adding boosters and sugars as you are in bloom.

Sugars meaning carboload, liquid sweet, even plain old molassas can be used (diluted in warm waterr 1ml to a liter)

this will give your buds added weight and make sure that the plants have enough sugars for max production.

boosters such as PK13/14 are added late in the bloom cycle, but there are also a range of more full cycle boosts

also FYI lastly as a heads up, molassass will dye your roots... make it harder to spot root issues..

i kinda wanted to go with just water this grow to see how they would deal with just water but then i got some free DNF when i bought the 150w hps im going over to my friends house tommorow to help him trim some buds im sure he will have a bunch of stuff lying around that i can use i would have painted the inside of the closet but im just renting where im at and the closet dresser thing came with the room so i didnt think my landlord would appreshiate it i was using tin foil but it made so much noise with the fan and i found it was burning the shit out of the tips of the hairs i was having all sorts of heat issues too so ripped the shit down i wouldent mind grabbing some mylar its just that theres no store around my place that sells that stuff i could probably find some cheap substitude. the molasess was something i wanted try out i was thinking of trying raw organic sugar but i heard mixed things about that so i didnt bother next time i go grocery shopping ill grab a container of it is there a special kind i should look out for? i dont know shit about molasess.

Plain Molassas, the least amount of ingrediantes in it, you don't need to feed your plant chem preverivitves.

As most first time novice growers run into the Tin foil gambit.

they think HEY LOOK SHINEY!!!

but really its a bad idea, with the amount of light your giving it wouldn't be a benifet at all.

it will absorb and hold heat, also cause dark and hot spots of light.

Mylar on the other hand doesn't absorb heat and anywhere near the same rate aluminum does

thats why its used on space craft. ( the layer before that nasa thermal stuff)

if your doing a "test" sorta see what you can get with what you've got, cool

i'll pull up a couch, I normally make sure my girls are well fed, nice to see some more of the more "stressful"enviroments can bring

ah yes, the rental, double sided tape, and poly would be your option with a gooooo gone removal plan

Whatever you choose, don't put alluminium sheat near your plant, you will have big chances to burn your leaves with light and aluminium, Mylar is really cheap if you have a growshop near your home. Well at least in my country it's cheap, like 1 or 2€ for 1m of mylar.

UPDATE: my friend with the nice digital camera is out of town so i have to do this update with a camera phone regardless the pictures turned out nice i planned on waiting till this comming tusday and takes pictures befor i harvest but i dont think the green o matic is gonna make it that long its almost ready now anyways i planted the seed on the 17th of november making it a total of 62 days from seed. the next pics i update of this plants will be the bud pics im gonna so them while harvesting and after drying and ill weight out my product to see what my yield and ill report it on the forum i wish i decided to do this earlyer but my next grow will be completely documented its gonna be a great white shark grow under 300 watt hps or 2 150w sun systems hps units. the auto blueberry still has a few weeks in her but the buds are getting big the main cola is causing the plant to droop a little bit im gonna tie it to a bamboo stick befor it gets bad .

im having troble figuring out how to do this like i can only post 8 images and it needs to be from a url from another website but when i take that url from another forum thats password protected and try posting it on this site some people cant see it can you exsplain an easy way for uploading pics it worked fine on the old site i tryed loading attachments buts it says a minimum of 500 kb per file so then i made the image files smaller and when i tryed uploading them it would only let me upload 500kb in total so that was like three pics i dont no maybe someone can exsplain this in a way understand i dont use forums much so other then posting a reply im lost.
