Flail
since we've traditionally used a 24 hours cycle for our plants.18/6 12/12 and 10/14....has anyone tried a rolling light cycle? say 18/10? or something similar?this one wonders the pros and cons.
bozoph
i think its the 12hrs of dark that triggers flower not the amount of light. so u can add hours to the light cycle while keeping the 12hrs dark. so u could use a cycle of 14/12, 16/12 or maybe more. i changed my cycle from 12am-12pm to 12pm -12am by adding 2 hours to my day cycle for 6 days. with no adverse effects.

Flail
I like that info , will it work ?it works in theory on limited practice expressed by bozo, those willing and able to push the envelope should do so for the bold willing..there might be risks involved to the plants there might not.
bozoph
i would fully implament this cycle. but my lights r on at night(9:30pm-930am) for heat reasons. maybe next winter i will try it when heat is less of an issue.

mopman
mmm Currently running this light cycle at night aswell because of heat problems , only starting to drop temps slightly here. But hell a winter day here is like 16-20 degrees Celsius lol.

autooprime
24 hours of light is not recommended, darkness is necessary for certain plant processes, 20/4 max.
