Noiz, the crazy thing on top is called a "Bubbler" it traps some nasty bacteria in the water that can be produced by the yeast, you can get them from wine making places, I bought mine at local shop Wilkinsons but you can get on Ebay easy enough.

I don't know whether they work well as I always use them but any CO2 is usually good.

Just adding to Tokage reply on CO2, I use at present 750gms of sugar for four bottles and use 5ml of fast acting yeast to activate.

That solution gives a bubble of CO2 every 3-5 seconds from each bottle at the start and last about one full week with the CO2 bubbles slowing down to one bubble every 10-15 seconds.

You can just pour in more sugar and the yeast in it will react again and start producing bubbles more frequently but I always start from scratch every 7-9 days.

The full recipe is in the Guru Section - Advanced Techniques.

Hope that explains it a little better.

I have found different sugars work and last longer or shorter periods of time, when using Unrefined sugar it last longer than Refined sugars, which gets eaten up by yeast quicker.

Day 26:

Hi Guys & Girls,

Just checked and there are two more plants showing pistils.

The three at the back of tent are 30-34cms, I have one plant in the very middle of my set up, which a weird sort of Bonsai version sprouting out loads of side shoots but very low down and it's only about 12cms it's also a paler green than all the others, it's the last picture.

The white spots you can see are just water with Rhizotonic dried on the leaves after watering.

PS: Just put to soak three normal Big Bang seeds that will be going on guerilla growing once they about 3/4 weeks old, till then I'll have under lights or in greenhouse not decided yet depends on weather forecast, should be nice and sunny from here on in but who knows in Britain.

Quick update: not the Autobombs but the Big Bang above, all three have sprouted the soil today and are basking in the sunshine now indoors on window ledge, I'll start proper journal next week.

Have a great weekend all.

They look lovely! Fast growers!

Good luck with the new BB's aswell!

I keep on thinking I will try those botlles someday! Is there a way to see or take a read of anything that I can check from those values or observations if I need to add Co2 to my indoor grow, without having to buy un expensive reader or meter of something first to sorted it out? Thanks in advance.

Take care

Hey Romeu

I have no idea how much CO2 they actually release but you or someone on this forum could work it out I'm sure.

One bubble every 3-5 seconds for first 4 days then slows to bubble every 5-10 seconds, someone must be able to work out how big the bubbles are by the volume of water that needs displacing before bubble will release.

Come on guys get your maths heads on and work it out.

Day 34:

Hi Guys & Girls, time for another update.

After giving them the wrong mix of Bloombastic and Rhizotonic they've survived very well. I gave them 15ml of Bloombastic it was only meant to be 10ml and I gave them 15ml of Rhizontonic but it was only supposed to be 5ml!

These are todays photos, they're now getting quite tall 54cms, shortest is just 30cms so quite a difference but they are a few days behind one another in starting flowering.

So far I haven't given them any nutrients whatsoever apart from Bloombastic, the Rhizotonic is for the roots, I will start them with GHSC Indica powder mix next watering at the weekend.

I gave them another mix of CO2, only this time I did not change everything just added some more sugar as I'm out of 'Fast Acting Bakers Yeast' need to go supermarket.

I've discovered that standard White Refined sugar gets eaten up by the yeast much quicker than Unrefined Brown sugar, it runs out about 2/3 days earlier.

That's it for now, here's the pics.

Day 41:

Hi Guys & Girls, time for another of my updates with psychedelic pics.

Being as it was Jubilee weekend here in the UK I've been a bit busy so the tent has remained shut up since last Friday after I gave them a thorough soaking in GHSC Indica nutrients 5ml in 10l water with 5ml of Bloombastic.

They only had the extractor fan on and no air movement fan, temps and humidity have been most consistent they've ever been the last 18 months between 23-28c lights on, humidity between 45-55% and as you can see they're growing and flowering well.

That's it.
