Trainwreck

Just wanted to share my Trainwreck photos for anyone interested in this strain. None of my phenos really resembled the Arcata cut but I did get some really dank plants though. No problem recommending this seed line, very nice in my opinion.

Lot's more photos to come as I get them uploaded.

I always use my camera in Manual mode (M on the selector wheel)...I think yours has one as well. Once in Manual mode, you can either enter Macro mode or Manual Focus. For general macros, I use the Macro setting but if you want to get the closest shot possible, I recommend using Manual focus. When using Manual focus, adjust the focus to it's lowest setting. Next, put your lens directly up against your subject and slowly move the camera away until the subject comes into focus. Once you find the best range and the subject looks in focus on the display, snap the picture.

Some tips to help fight blurry pics:

1. Clean your lens. (fingerprints and dust on the lens can cause blurry photos)

2. Use a tripod if possible. (Although your camera has image stabilization, you'll still get clearer photos when the camera is completely still)

3. Don't get too close to the subject. (I believe your camera has minimum focus range of 1cm)

Hope that helps!

I'll be happy to answer any other questions you might have.

naw man thats gonna help large ive been trying to get a walk through for how to do it ive just been using auto but im gonna mess around with it tonight in manual and follow everything you just said. thats amazing tho like ive heard you can get good shots with this camera and when i got it i was alittle disappointed compared to my buddys camera but i knew it had to be something i was doing cause ive read reviews and seen other peoples pictures and the quality was amazing my friend has a digital slr and when you go to take macros with it if you just slightly hold down the trigger it auto focus perfectly and if its out of focus it wont let you take the shot its pretty user friendly compared to this camera but ill get used to it thanks for the advice.

Some amazing crystals production on those buds!

Very, very nice closeups. Small nuggest good enugh for any coffeshop. What do you feed your girls with(nutes)?

Much appreciated, tokage. The plants pictured in this thread were grown using Fox Farm nutrients. (FF Grow Big, Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom)

I currently use the Botanicare line of nutrients however I am looking forward to trying the GHS powdered nutrients very soon.

Hello Ghost!

I typically trim right after harvest but waited until after drying that particular run because I was short on time.

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
