nice little porn there

Aloha Dust, They may be little now, but I do not think they will be little for long. The way things are looking if Superduper 77 is able to produce enough RO water for these good looking girls he will be chubby chasing on a daily basis to keep the fat girls from falling over!

Aloha Superduper 77, The roots are nice and white. Do you have the pump on the on off cycle with a timer now? On a previous post you were having concerns about temperatures.

Aloha oldemarine !

yes man i looked on russian grow portal for this tip. One man had his pump working in 15/15 min cycle , he grow on nft , he said that temperature of solution run up to 28 C and there is no roots problems. I got my pump working all day on and i start to feel rot smell from tube (i have two grows on DWC in my history so i know how smell root rot :)), after i did 15/15 min cycle on my pump you can see white root ... before they were a bit brown

Aloha Superduper 77, In the 1970s one of my best friends father who came to the USA after WW2 from Russia told us about the huge fields in the Ukraine when he proudly showed us the plants in his vegetable garden (he nabbed the seed from the Mexican strains we had been smoking) and said it was called Cannabis in Russia. It is nice to see a new generation of people from all over the World who do not buy the "Devil's Weed" propaganda that has been sold for generations now. The on & off pump idea is not new and is common with aeroponic systems using high pressure pumps to create a mist using a short blast of nutrient ( usually a few seconds) every three to five minutes. One problem people have encountered is the pumps tend to last not as long because the on off cycle and surge of current during the start up phase on the pump motor creates problems with up to 48 to 96 pulse cycles per day. I was wondering if you know who did the drawings for this guide for nutrient problems it looks like a Russian name that has made this valuable contribution to growers all over the World. (give them a two thumbs up from Hawaii).

They grow like there is not tomorrow! if you could do things different with the same setup next time. What would that be?

Aloha Tokage & Duperduper 77, It seems to be clear that with the limitations of tap water that is not good for plant growth, a limited volume of RO water, and dental surgery to complicate matters our friend here is producing plants that are looking world class! I think the next step could be a change to a true high pressure aeroponics with mist as it uses less water and nutrients than NFT and if dialed in right gives high production. http://en.wikipedia....wiki/Aeroponics

u`ll see for sure :)

What i do not like is that i can`t cook balanced solution for flowering and vegging plants at the same time . Drip irrigation + coco much better in this way. For example my number of solution 1day - EC 1.6 PH 5.6 2day - EC 1.35 PH 6.3 (corrected EC 1.6 PH 5.6) 3day - EC 2.0 PH 5.0(corrected to EC 1.9 PH 5.6) 4day EC 2.6 PH 5.0 //// but there is a good side that i can see it and i can help immediately , in this way coco coir have worse feedback . NFT , DWC and other recycling systems are very good way to understand what do the plant need in certain period of time. (lol but i cant understand really :))

I`ll manually irrigate next time until i see bunch of roots. I will rebuild water delivery system . But overall i`m very satisfied this time. i`ll make longer drain tube for more roots can fit there ... my first try on this system was fail i punnished plants for 2 month then i replant them in coco and harvested ... in 5 month (7 total). I`ll rebuild system after this grow session , and i `ll post photo report of rebuilding in my next grow diary (i hope for another seed test :))

Aloha Superduper, Using a drain to waste aeroponics system is looking like the way of the future. Richard Stoner's Pepper & Herb formula is 11-11-40 at 1 ml per liter that would be 110 PPM Nitrogen, 48 PPM Phosphorous, 332 PPM Potassium the target EC is low .8 to 1 EC.

Aloha Superduper 77, It may be a little early to tell on the male you could very well be right. I would always wait for them to pop and start to hang before bagging them up to collect pollen. To get the price down on aeroponics some of the components are common for water wells. And the high pressure pumps on pressure washers. The nice thing about drain to waste is you still know what the plants are taking collecting what drained off but the nutrient solution going in can stay the same with not that much adjustment needed.

Aloha oldemarine !

I don`t even think about aeroponics , one main reason i have very dirty basement with clay floor. Sprinkles will get clogged i one day. Soon i must to prevent mlod on buds cuz my humidity will not lower than 60%

Aloha Superduper 77, Unfinished basement grows can be a real challenge. What I have done in the past is use plastic sheeting on the floor. I was at one place in The Netherlands that had a propagation room in an attic with a thatched grass roof! Plastic sheeting was used to create a clean enough space to propagate cuttings and do 10 cm rockwool cubes. I know that one of the main problems with aeroponics is the nozzles so we use several in line filters before and after the pump and accumulator to address that issue. In Hawaii and Seattle high humidity problems are always an issue because of the rain based climate most of the year ( 400 cm a year in the rain forest of Hawaii) with a small area dehumidifiers can work but the cost is high. Here is an example of the filters we use to prevent clogged nozzles. http://www.rainbird.com/landscape/products/dripControl/inlineRBYfilter.htm

The trend here for recycleing hydroponic systems in the USA is high flow RDWC undercurrent in 49 liter containers connected with 75 mm pipes using 128 PPM Nitrogen, 55 PPM Phosphorus, 199 PPM Potassium, 108 PPM Calcium, 36 PPM Magnesium, 47 Sulfur, with micronutrient levels of 2 PPM Fe, .68 PPM Mn, .35 PPM B, .2 PPM Zn. .05 PPM Cu, .05 PPM Mo., at an EC of .8 to 1.2. The nutrient solution is cooled to keep it at 20 C to prevent root problems.

using this formula 2nd time ... PH rising EC falling (btw on my formula EC start to fall then raise up to 2.6) ... thank you very much

Aloha Superduper77, This has been a fun grow to watch. Are you planning on using any of the pollen if it is a male flower? I was wondering if you had considered using DIY well insulated waterfarm type systems to determine the nutrient ratios and requirements of different strains? With your skill at using raw nutrients, and making grow systems I think it would be fun to watch you fine tune without having such a yo-yo, up, and down, pH, and EC swings you have had to deal with on this grow. The plants are looking World Class my friend. I am looking forward to your girls getting fat, and juicy!

Aloha Dust, I agree 100%. It will be interesting to see how this grow works out when the product is dried and calculated in comparison with Superduper77 coco coir grow.

start of week 10

Day temp 25 , night temp 20 , temp of solution is 18-20 , ec=1.6 (a bit more that they need) PH 5.8 (and rising)

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
