Hello, my proposed destination is Europe, namely on the varieties which are spread throughout Europe. We do not know much about these strains hidden in the mountains of Europe, would be a pleasure to enjoy a documentary and learn from our closest strains.

greetings from the south of Spain!

Yes I would also like to see what kind of rare european srains are out there. It would also be nice to see how the different contries deal with their bad cannabis laws.

Spain sounds like a great plan as well, well known for her great strains and we enjoy the great taste of the ganja plants grown here already..

There are lots and lots of great growers, phenotypes, and ways to grow ..

So i encourage spain as one of the next expedition landrace strainhunters country for sure.

Are there any known german landraces around anymore ?

Hemp used to grow on and around every farm before it got banned. There must have been some kind of localized strain, accustomed to the latitude and weather, local deseases and bugs etc..

Same goes for all of europe I guess, hemp was a common good to deal with, work with, nothing special.

I honestly dont think you get nothing but a headache from smoking it but if it can still be found or retrieved otherwise, it would be nice to know it`s saved for the future, if it is not too late already.

looking at the landraces the crew already did, i suppose that a landrace in europe isnt the first idea the guys will do.

when looking at the strains outthere europe i wonder if europe is an option thinking about the way the landrace in the country have all been more like guerilla type then what i think we have here in europe.

If im mistaken ( and i do hope so) we are hopeful that the crew starts her new adventures, its been a while and im in for some new vids.

Any news on new landraces guys ....

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
