that is a very neat idea to use a roller tray might have to nick that from you lol

i would suggest that you use a slightly bigger tray (normal size roller tray) so you have moor room for them roots to spread also you might wish to put some black and wight plastic over the hole thing to make a light proof cover so the light doesn't get to your root system and cause all sorts of problems one last thing you could also do with using some spreader Matt its very cheep and helps the roots spread out any hydro store sells it

also you need to remove the plastic sleeve around the cube

wish you all the best for this

sorry guys iv had to stop the tiny NFT till i get a new pump my old water pump gave in so iv sent for a new one ,so iv swapped over to a bubbler just now and i will change back as long as i get it quickly,,,fingers crossed, ikm gonna go for a larger pump and a much bigger air pump to get it almost floating in air bubbles it works great in bubblers so im thinking when the roots hit the water it will have half in really well airiated water and half in air i think that will give great results for such fast plants like autos, any thaughts

sorry to say this again but its not nft it is a flood system

lol,,,its not flooding mate all the water does is run passed under cube then over roots into bucket where that takes over as a kind of bubbler si if anything its more like a bubbler than any wen plants get bigger but it defo doesnt flood i dont think you can picture it correctly it works on same principal as one of the best selling NFTs on the market so if im useing that technoligy then thats why i say itsan NFT but i wanted it to act like a bubbler when the roots got long enough to touch water so all the bubbles get roots not just water,my pumps are so strong they actually turn the whole thing into a mass of bubbles and mist as i used a very fine wooden airstone, not sure how long it will last but it gives really nice fine bubbles everywhere but they are not restricted like a stone one GOOD!

anyway wen i get the new water pump il have it going again so wen i do il take it to bits so u can understand it a bit,

still not a nft. u r shallowly flooding a rockwool. to truly be nft the root system has to grow in a thin layer of water. devoid of light so a film can build to support root growth( hench the term nutrient film tech).

not tring to bad mouth the system it will work fine

same principle but not truly nft though, u right bozoph ... but i'm sure it'll work good if you can cover the roots so they have no light it'll be better ;)

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
