Gonzos LA Cheese Fest

Here's my LA cheeses from Big Buddha, there's 10 altogether. Got a shock when all ten germinated vigorously :) Oh well, no complaints in this camp for sure :) They're about 10 days from being flowered. Just transplanted into bigger containers.

I'm about to start working on my World Cup journal so won't go into a terrible amount of detail.

Gameplan....

Medium : Bio-Bizz Coco/perlite 70/30 (Handwatering)

Pot : 11 litre

Light/hood : Sunmaster 600w HPS Dual Spectrum with cooltube

Schedule : Veg - 18/6 Bloom - 12/12

Base nutes :

Veg - Sensi Grow A+B

Bloom - Sensi Bloom A+B

Yeah....where am I? Lol....sorry dust was talking away to my friends whilst posting and didn't actually look where the hell I was :P Just smoked my gumby from the popcorn bud removals that have been taking place. Also smoking some real nice standard lemon haze. You might say I'm not exactly sound of thought and mind :)

Anyway, thanks and sorry dude :)

Thanks man,

I know...how fat are they! In the middle picture (a week ago) they were a bit unhappy with the humidity, was too low. Also a bit yellowish due to a slow diet, didn't wanna feed em too much. I fear the 'claw' after my SLH and Afghani....lol :) They look amazing now. Will take a pic and show you later. Still need to transplant 5 of em tonight :)

Hey folks, it's been some time since my last update with this lot.

Well I've let the LA cheese veg for ages, they were quite tightly packed into the veg space and needed the extra time for some more shoots to form. I'm sure they'll be better for it. They now have been cloned and have some time to chill. It's flowering time today so they've been thrown into the flower room with the 7 WW clones, all in there in one go. Had a room with 2 SLH clones 5wks into budding that looked empty, now it looks nice and full with the good green.

White widows/SLH on the left and the LA on the right...

I'm feeling so much better now they're in a bigger space with some room to breathe and bush :)

Hopefully there will be more regular updates now they've started flowering :)

Take it easy folks :)

You have a wonderful garden my friend. Do you have room for an extra 600w?

Thanks guys...

You've had me thinking all day dude, it's praying on my mind now :) ....I might just get a third 600w. It would fit snugly in there and would obviously achieve bigger better buds :) Will get back to you on that one :)

Hello folks, just thought id show you guys a pic of the LA cheese mother plant I have chosen. It's so hard not to just throw her into the flowering room when she looks so good. She will give birth to some grand babies though, just have to bide my time :)...

KAaG9l.jpg

You will notice some Big Buddha Blue cheese sitting next to her, 4 new violator kush in the prop tank. With all them and the Money Maker things are interesting.... ;) ....made up my mind on the third light at least, it's now a necessity...lol :)

Yes really well cared girl. I love the colours so much. Is she a heavy eater?

She looks strong enugh for a very good harvest.

Thanks guys :)

She is wanting fed every 4/5 days. For a week almost now she has had a good bit of space in the flower room to fill out, my veg room was a bit cramped so they weren't comfortable I don't think. They're all the same height but 3 out of the 10 are thin with short shoots right down the stem. Pretty sure that's with being cramped to a certain extent. Might just be the phenotype :) At least 5 look just like the one in the last pic so can't complain. All 10 germinated so not bothered if a few have strange low yielding phenos. My mother I've chosen has a nice Christmas tree shape so once she starts to pump out clones it should be happy days :)

Can't wait to see these girls in full swing :) I'm not looking forward to Christmas as much as say....the end of January....lol ;)

happy an healthy Gonzo :D I'm at the end of week 4 now an thought i'd stop by an warn you that my 3 in flower have stretched quite a bit since 12/12 even the 1 which was 6" shorter in veg has caught up with the other 2.

Can't wait to see how they finish your side :)

Thanks dude :)

I don't mind a bit of stretch, I've got enough room that my plants can get maybe 6-7ft so bring it on! Lol :) Thanks for the heads up though :)

How much would you say it's stretched? My SLH and WW were about 2.5x bigger after the flip. I don't mind my girls getting tall, as long as the buds are still tight and potent ;)

Hey guys, here we are at day 14 of flowering :) Out of the 9 that are flowering, 5 have good phenos that look like they could yield well. Nice long branching :) 3 or 4 not so high yielding, more of a tall thin structure with short shoots close to the main stem. The worry with that is the top bud gets plenty of light but the lower shaded stem buds are light green in colour and far less potent due to the lack of lumens.

I will get some better pics soon for you guys...

Thanks folks, I hope yours are coming along nicely Mar-tay :) Never really worried about yields, just like those secondary buds away from the main stem and into the light. Thought about tying them over slightly but the main stems are so thick it won't even bend a little, very sturdy plants :)

Anyway, here's the start of many bud porn pics....these are only little for now :)

Hello fellow gardeners :)

The LA cheese is coming along nice. There's some phenos that are really tall, almost 'super lemon haze like' and some are very 'Afghani like' with just huge canopy leaves and small shoots down the stem. The pics are from the tall phenos :)....

Thanks for the news man have a good grow ;)

Thanks Dust, they are indeed smelling of cheese. One or two especially stink. I do love one of the phenos, so glad I have a mother of the same shape and stature. She is massive ;) Once the money maker run is over she will pump out a ridiculous amount of clones in a single session :)

After a few runs growing big girls I've decided to go for more plants, flowered when short. As opposed to a long veg and larger overall plants. I've flowered two SLH clones really small and got an Oz each of rock hard nugs :) Being small, there were no fluffy buds anywhere, all really nice. Also, like to hang up the whole plant when drying and this is hard when it's tall and bushy. So when the time comes, lots of clones kept short is the plan :)

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
