Hi bro,

Good start, this promises to be a good and fun;) growth and flowering.

By their actions, and temperature and means permit would recommend 600W, 400W though certainly also go pretty buds.

Sorry for my english....I'm a Gringo lol

Keep it up! :good:

So its time for me to get starting my journal now that i gather a little time to do so ,first off all i want to tell you that my seeds are a skunk cross with swiss fragolina and amnesia in her genetic .This is my germination box it has 25 x25x30 cm height (1), a 60w aquarium resistance(2) , plastic cups(3) with black circle plastic floaters to establish floating (4) and filled with unmineralized water with an e.c of 00 and a ph of 5.5.We will find it very useful cause we can easy maintain the temperature of the water with the resistance control switch whatever between 18 and 32 Celsius .With this method and with several boxes like this we will be able to test what temp is the best for our seed to germ at different temperatures .So we soaked the seeds on the water between 20 and 25 Celsius and leave them in a dark room for around 12/24 h,we will see what happens when we have the next step, remove the seeds from the water and put them between wet papers and remember that soaking seeds after the root is expose can bring early damage to it ,now its time to leave them do there work and enjoy some weed

Thanks to all suporting my journal it still is under constrution so thank you all for your pacience, soon new updates

Ok so after 12 hours 6 out of 10 already crack, we only want to hydrate our seeds so to prevent /minimize root damage it’s the perfect time to change their environment to one with more air on the equation. This is a way that it’s easy to keep the seeds in the perfect temperature at optimal humidity, (this system is good also to stimulate rooting in clones). So now we spray the papers with the distilled water from the box around 24celc and carefully lay our seeds between two papers as you can see my wet papers are inside a mini plastic propagator that I can also put into the box to maintain the desire temperature around 24 Celsius and we wait a little more till all the seeds crack( hopefully)and the roots stretch a little that’s the perfect time to transplant them to a bigger container.

If we have several seeds this germinating tray can handle 40 seeds at a time, i fill the tray with red turbe premixed with micorrizas they have been to my plants a longtime friend helping them creating the perfect symbiosis in the substrate for developing a strong root support so they can intake more nutrients and grow healthy and happy , then we water with a solution with 120 msy of powder feeding I advise to use distilled water with an e.c of 00 because usually tap water is full of impurities and minerals , helping us to get an more accurate measure of the nutrients solution leaving already some feed for the seedling in the turbe ,as you know turbe doesn’t have nutrients or micro nutrients on it that the root soon will be looking for ,we make a hole in the center with +/- 1 cm deep in way that the sprouts stands cover with the soil after watering one last time with the solution and now its time to warm up the grow room engines and start creating a good environment for the baby girls when they see light.

As you know light is one of the main fuel for our plants grow, they need enough amount off light in the right spectrum to make the photosynthesis occur in our indoor plants, I like to use in the first weeks t8 fluorescent so the light isn’t to strong to the sprouts and seedlings but enough to grow healthy .My grow room stays at 18 hours on light at 24 Celsius and 65 % humidity and 6 hours off night at a 18 Celsius and 65 % humidity for vegetate.Well now that we have our seeds in the germination tray we can be making some preps for them, to prevent early root damage i also lye the germination tray in a layer off pre watered turbe with the previous solution with the same E.C (120 msy)so the roots can easily spread underneath waiting to the plant develops a strong root system for transplant I also like to use a layer of perlite instead. The way we water i find it also very important even most wen it cams to turbe it should never be let to dry totally because its gets harder to get moist unless you use a water spray ,its mists the soil with tiny drops of water finding it more easy to get thrue the soil and to the roots

Really interesting method to soak your seeds man.

The controlled temperature of the water will ensure you a successful and fast germination.

Cheers.

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
