I still think most of the Buds I see in most grows are just too small.... is it the Strain, the short veg time...I dunno but I could never get over the hill with

15 of those plants, it would need to be 45 of that size..... can you comment on that ?

Interesting,

First of all are we all dealin with a new sort of feeding, the ones that use the powderfeed.

Second is i have not a real compare that i can make...

I could compare the master kush now with the king kush i had before... then the MM are much better developed for that time.

Some say MM can go 10, +sometimes 1 week go. That means i am half done with flower.

In the last 3 weeks i look really for the size of what ive done. So far, i am not concerned and i dont think my standart feeding would have done any better. I think we see some good sized buds at the end here, thats what i think.

Another point is wintertime. Huge temp gaps between night day in tent/room can slow down metabolism of plants....read francos tricks on conditions for that.

In general i think some had very short veg times as you guessed already.

Potsize is another good issue. I see many small pots or re-pots, i try to avoid that...

FIM, when you grow from seed the yields are not always that huge esp. when you start seeds in 12/1 or for a short VEG time. Next point is 400 watt lights means the plants stay 1/3rd beyond 600 or give only half of what a 1000 watt light couldget. Many plants sharing a light. You run 3 Spread eagle reflektors with 1.800 watts all in all, so you get A LOT more. Finally pot size is another factor and last but not least if you Fim or use LST or a ScroG.

First time I vegged for 6 weeks and the plants were a lot fatter than what I grow today - Everybody has different goals, If I get a good ounce plus from a plant (after proper curing !) -means 40 to 50 grams smokable afte ra few days i.e. commercial I am happy cause I grow 4 or 5 of them under 1 400 watt light . By saving a month per cycle I can grow one crop more per year .. in the end the results would probably be the same. Quality is the main criteria - Damnesia offers only half of what an average plant gives when finally properly dried, but it is much stronger, so you need to smoke less..

A huge bud must not ne nice smoke, i saw that often. One guyi know was able to grow very very big buds but no matter what strain he had all tasted same disgusting.

The unflushed feeding weed was his trade-mark lololol.

well no, and no...

First its no interruption i said everything is welcome and so it is, just maybe you get me wrong.

Because second is i really do think yield is a first hand geneticly based thing. Again KK will always have smaller nugs than other strains. No matter how long vegged.

No matter what skills will a grower with a K-Train bigger buds score.

I always read big buds, is it big buds or it it yield that we talk, i can scrog the whole room with small nugs and score maybe twice.

Natural grow will always have disadvantage in yield, but the plants are happy as shit AND

in the last thing i am hundre percent at Bam-Bhole...... quality is much much more important for a homegrower than count every gram.

Yield comes with experience, when you know what strain to grow how to get the best buds.

I honestly expect buds here that easy have 20gr smokable. Thats not a bad strain if the smoke is good also.

If i would have to sign that i get indoor 75gr plants everytime on natural grow in soil with 3 weeks veg i would sign it.

yes thats quite a point.

Sure we all know about the key facts to happy plants but what is it that makes a plant do best.

I had in the beginning the idea i would have to throw many water in and wait for example a week to feed the next time.

That is some ive changed over the years drastic.

I water aproximately 10% of potsize today that might sound littlw, but i can repeat that every 2-3 days with an amount of perlite in my soil.

Think that helps metabolism and i am able to adjust things better.

In my experience the fat up will zake place in the last 3-4 weeks. We will see. Step inside again, your welcom.

After i joined this forum i had to relearn what i knew. I was used to go by feeling alone and i could not actually help anyone with anything because i did not have the fancy names about what i was doing

(i just did what i know would work)

Franco told me that was because i had "green" fingers but i say it was because of routine.

I could grow a good bud but things that a good grower should know by name i did not.

To grow a good plant only takes love and care. To fix something that is never broken does not learn you a thing.

I believe that is healthy to be wrong and get bad plants at the start. Even pro´s will make a few grow errors along the way and that will help them to keep on top of things.

Getting huge buds is not that hard at all but keeping them healthy can be.

One thing that is mention above is keep going with the same strain over and over again.

Never look at other grows with jealousy or awe but look at them with curiosity and respect.

Everything you know will play a part in huge yields and nothing as important as experience and above all

"knowing your strain"

i agree with you,

even tho mine was shit compared to my norm,i am still over all happy as iv learned that this strain doesnt like being messed with to much if you want yeild per plant,but would work for scrog,

tho these plants look to me like they would do eitherway no problem,

plus i know with the afgooey anyway that if crossed with a big bud or alike or even an NL not sure yet but im not giving up on the afgooey as i like the taste and effect,

and im sure i can find a way to get this lady a little taller andmaybe a little better yeild,

but these above look really nice to me,

Ok i have to thank my brother HC01 for teachin me a camera lesson.

It was a real shame that i own a cam like some of the best photographers here but are just not able to handle all of the setups...

With 2 simple adjust i was able to give you a nice bud-porn ubdate today.

Glad you found out how to get better shots. Iwished someone would help me in that comprtement. I try snce days to take a good close up on a single lower bud, that i sprinkling the leaves below so nicely BUt it always looks wrong or too siilvery white instead of yellow /dark or blurry in the end..

To finish the discussion about strains big buds + yields - I got the point you are aiming at FIM by now.

I wasnt lazy, because i saw some CUP like germination rate, i put them to the Grodan Delta Cubes an hour ago.

All ten seem to be powerful and i am happy so far with them.

Man you can really see how fat and thick with resin those bud leaves are !! I don't always click for a close up but had to this time and happy I did and would highly recommend clicking for full effect and close-up!

Thanks for posting the camera settings bro and helping me learn (thanks to HCO1 for helping you too!) I've been playing with my settings and I will try to mimic those the best I can with my inexpensive..but water/shock/dust/freeze proof..Fujifilm camera lol. What kind of camera are you using Atrox?
