Gravitropism/Geotropism.

Recommended Posts

Yo hunters,

I stumbled upon a very intresting topic, it involves gravity,

in short it's growing plants upside down..

I think the idea would be that our planet's gravitation would be used

to speed up a plants growing capacity, meaning it would be very very

much easier for the plant to transport "food" & energy within itself.

Also make the container for the medium waterproof in the "bottom",

were the plant come out, and maybe a drain?

And lst to keep the branches in check, and not to snap off..

Here is a poorly made picture of the idea.

So what do you guys think?

that would be an interesting test growto look at ^^, i wouldn't do it that way tho, would it work with having the pot in a regular way and then you lst your girl to make her grow toward the floor, like those pots you hang in veranda with falling plants or maybe a 90° on the pots would be better. don't know anyway that's some interesting thoughts ;)

Have a good day

Ur right too Dust but i was thinking of maybe grov them 1week standing normally

and then turn them around, making even the roots to take full effect of the gravity. :)

Ooh imagine that baby, stem so thick you will need a chainsaw for harvest & the fruits.. mhm..

It would sort of work, the only thing is that the water system would be very strange and I don't know how well the plant would take to literally growing downwards. If you have the means I would love to see an experiment run, as I was just thinking about this last month and if it would work.

Been reading alittle and realized i was half-wrong, it seems that roots can't be affected

in the way that they are "upside down" since the tip of the roots are always goin downwards while growing(following gravity),

(exept if you have a "Clinostat" - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clinostat)

But! waterpressure should still give some positive effect imo..

Bozoph, custom made AC? :D

Lams LOL hehe xD

Bloodysafty your bloody right, since the whole "structure" of the cannabis plant is evolved to the opposite direction of this ""technique"", so like every leaf?

Seems like too much of work to begin with, that's why im trying atm, to "germinate" a mint-ish herb,

to later house in my wierd upsidedown pot VS normal standing :P

Theese mint-herb was shite, ah well, was thinking alittlebit more about Dust & Bozophs posts, maybe you could veg a fatty like 3weeks,

Heheh not really sure i got the expertice nor space for doing a proper test yet, but i sure as hell will give it a try

when i got the sparetime/space/money...

If anyone else would like to give it a try before me i would be very very intrested to follow it! :D

BTW, what size of pot would be minimum for a soil-scrog-test like this do you guys think?

hope you had a nice newyear celebration everyone!, peace!

yes totally agree with that when they fully have grown and ready than you should need to proceed and obviously you should follow the whole procedure also you need some kind of tools for perfection as well
