Irelands growing economy

just last week the police shut down 5 large grow houses in Ireland and made 100 arrests, that brings it to more than 400 cannabis factories been uncovered so far this year. The police say Ireland has now become an exporter rather than an importer of cannabis. The problem is all these factories are been run by Chinese Triad and Irish gangs, this is giving cannabis a bad reputation here. When will the government realise that legalistion will be the only way to solve this problem, and the money made can go into the real Irish economy, which is in total recession at the moment, rather than into the pockets of criminal gangs.

The same here in the UK we are also apparently exporting it too.

We have had a lot of vietnamese growing here.

In time someone has to realise that regulation is the only way to deal with organised gangs.

It has got to the point where judges are having to be more lenient with hobby growers because of the number of large scale grows and chronic over crowding in prisons, which are very expensive to run especially in this economic climate.

It's only up to the million cannabis users in all of Europe to stand up for their rights. Don't expect governments to suddenly and miraculously become enlightened and remove prohibition. Look at all the great grassroots work in some places in Europe and the US where they have achieved some progress. If you sit around whining about the government you'll never win freedom, sadly this is the case with 99,9% of cannabis users.

Go West my friends on the 6th of December 2012 in Washington State, USA having 28.4 grams of Cannabis in your pocket if you are 21 years of age will cease to be a big deal. It looks like 100 lucky producers who are granted a license to grow will be the first step into Washington State reaping an estimated $2 Billion in tax revenue and no one has any idea how many jobs will be created in the tourism and other spin offs for a new industry. It will be interesting to see what people in the other Washington on the East Coast will do about this States rights issue the people of the State voted for.
