i threw a marshmallow in their for giggles, then depressurized it. the marshmallow puffed up to twice its size. when i released the vacuum the marshmallow shrank down to half its original size. so there was definitely air removed from the marshmallow. proving that a vacuum purged hash will have way less solvant left in it

Nice one Boz, good to see a bit of DIY. :D

A warm water bath or a coffee pot warmer will help liquify the BHO allowing gas escape.

Can't wait to see your results.

Will you use a dish/lid etc to hold the oil or will you place it directly in the jar?

Peace bro

Just curious I was told and have read that the $20 break pump wiill not be enough psi to fully get all the butane out. From what I could see in your pictures it only goes up to 30. It should be at 32 or 36 for proper purging to occur. This is why some people go right to the electric pumps because the hand pumps take alot to get to 32 or 36. The cheap ones don't get all the butane out because you are only geting into the 20's.

This is what I have read and heard. I didn't mean to rain on your parade but I just want to make sure people know that if you the proper pressure to purge correctly 32 to 36

Hand pumps that cost $20 bucks dont have the pressure needed. The hand pumps that will work are usually 50 to 80 bucks Like this one in the pic below...it is slightly bigger then the 20 dollar ones..,I am sure the smaller one will do the job some what but this is only what I have read and discussed from some concentrate fiends..:)

Bozoph, I used that same setup for months! It works great for small at home runs and you are right about your hg notes above. Full vac is 29.5Hg while rocking this EXACT setup I could only get mine to about 27.5-28 Hg but w/ all the pumping and the hours over heat, I will tell you you can get a very clean and stable product using this system.
