Big Bang Powder Feeding [Completed]

Looking for advice:

I have been using only the PF and have some left over nutrients from my first grow/

I burned Hermie and overfed on my first grow, don't want to have seeds with this crop.

Question:

I have fed mildly at the Transition Veg To Bloom and only watered the next time,

I will be feeding in a few days and was thinking of adding some AN Big Bud along with the PF and some Molasses.

Do any of you think that will be oK or will it be to much by adding it to the PF?

if you be careful on the amount you put technically it's ok. Just be careful with your EC, so maybe start to put let's say at EC 1,3 with PF and complete with the bigbud, or do contrary put your dose of bigbud and complete with PF, in both case as long as your careful it's fine

You could Half of the plant with Bigbud and molasse, and other half without? would be interesting to see

I have a few day to make up my mind, will spend that time doing research.

At the moment I am leaning toward doing half the plants with PF + Big Bud (half strength)+ Molassas

and half the plants with PF + Molassas.

Worst case I lose half the plants

Day 33 of Bloom Tue 2/12/12

Plants are dry and ready for feeding, took 8 days this time to dry.

Have decided to use PF and Molasses ONLY, no additives.

Tap water 0.49 EC, 7.6 PH

Pre Runoff test

(Just did it on one plant, a middle size one with adjusted tap water,)

value EC .49 PH 6.3

Runoff value EC 1.62 PH 6.2

Feed water EC = 1.47 PH =6.3 A little over 2 ltr per 10 ltr pot.

There is approximately 8.5 ltr of soil in each pot due to settling,

there down about 3inches from full.

Runoff (Just did it on one plant, a middle size one)

With Feed water EC = 1.47 PH =6.3

Runoff value EC 2.01 PH 6.3

I ran about 3 ltr of adjusted tap water through each Plant.

Then fed them with the Feed water.

Runoff was down to EC 1.55 PH 6.3

Not sure if that was a good thing or not?

I will do a good flush next watering.

Tallest plant 27 inches smallest 18 inches.

I guess there ok, don't seem very fat to me.

I have forgot how they looked on my first grow at this time?

I had some plants get kind of yellow (less green)

right under the sweet spot of the lights.

I have raised the lights from 15 inches to 20 inches.

I did that 4 days ago and seems to have helped

Also rearranged and raised the some plants for an even canopy.

I am going to take a well deserved vacation after this.

I have learned that photos can be deceptive:

I was always amazed at some of the photos I see, while mine look awsome in the photos, in reality they are only thumb size in thickness.

Well we have another 30 days or so for them to faten up.

By the way, there starting to smell, I am a novice at smells, but they are kind a tart like a lemon.

I have a small pump and a 5 foot wand, actully it was a drain gutter wand modified with a valve.

It is a bit primitive, but it works.

I water then for approximately 4 seconds (1000 / 1 etc) then a second time with 6 second that lets each plant have 2 ltrs of water.

Did I read correctly that there are 5 of you, all 70+ yr old hippies? Because I REALLY gotta applaud that!!! You are showing what experience can do that's for damn sure :) I hope you are enjoying the Powderfeed, I received some for the indoor contest and was so happy with the results on my auto's I had to order a couple bags.

I have nothing but respect for that wonderful room, congrats to you all..it's great to hear that the medicine helps, pills suck!

Yep!! My wife is the youngest at 69 I am second at 72 the other 3 are almost as young

The 3, pay our Power Bill and water bill and Nutrients and equipment.

I do the growing and receive 2 shares for the wife and I.

We all have our MMJ cards for 6 plants each (5x6=30) in this county

OMG, I took a look at your grow. You and others on this site would put NASA scientest to shame.

I hope this PF and Molassas is all I need to grow, I just could not keep track of all that other stuff.

good invention and a lot of work with many plants, are flowering when you have to move the pots or arrive with tube?

The wand reaches all the plants and I don't have to move them.

It is a pain not being able to get to the plants, but I don't have a choice as it was a small spare bathroom.

man when i see your grow i wish i was in a situation where i could do a sea of green, i don't know if it's just me but i find that once a cola get's to a certain size it start's to loose is flavor to a degree like when i grow really huge plant's i love looking at the massive cola the size of my forearm's put together but i always find the lower bud's to be more flavorful and the huge bud's usually take so much time to dry that you end up cutting them apart anyway's.

but if i had a grow like your's in canada i would be looking at a minimum of a month per plant, and i enjoy my freedom too much for that. in Canada there is no mandatory minimum's for 5 plant's and under but 6 plant's is a minimum of 6 month's in jail so i always stay under 6. to make it worth my while i just do big plant's but it isent ideal personally but it's nice to be able to grow and not be worried all the time about getting busted because even if i get busted it would be a slap on the wrist i would be out in time to start a new grow all in the same day.

i'm not insulting you and saying your bud's are small because they are not they are perfect size for a sea of green set up just you know what i mean when you like veg a plant for over a month and then flower you end up with a HUGE cola that in some cases like with GWS can become rediculous. i would break the law to have a bigger crop but i wanna apply for a commercial production licence when they come out next month and if i have a federal charge on my record they would never accept my application.

but yeah man great stuff i'm dying to hear what your yeild is gonna be on that room i bet it's gonna be impressive per watt anyways bro keep it simple and stay safe !!!

This is my second grow of Big Bang, its a great smoke, just would like something new once in awhile.

A gram at the dispensary here is 15 to 25 us$ a gram

On our first grow (We had a lot of seeds) only cost us about $0.80 a gran to grow.

So many ways to grow and so little time.

I also like the PF.

FLUSH!!!!!

Tap water EC 0.5. PH 7.4

Flush water ec 0.5 PH 6.2

Gave each plant about 14 ltrs.

Flushed again with a small amt of nutrient,

PF and Molasses. EC 1.1 PH 6.3

NOTE: Final runoff of one plant was:

EC 1.2 PH 6.2

Humidity lights on is 42

The buds are not as big as our first grow at this time.

I think I should have added some bloom boster, O well next time.

I think we will have some good product, if not a good yield.

lovely view man! thanks for the regular news! and yeah buds won't be size world record breaker but it's often the case with SOG when you have many tops per plants like on yours, imagine all the tope you have on 1 plant in 2 3 colas, would be a nice one And i hope in the end you'll be happy with it! supercritical also isn't particurly making big buds, but the taste and high and yeild in general is worth it, a great plant if you ask me ^^

Hi Miminexus, yes it takes me about 2 hrs to flush and feed.

Dust, i think you are right. there are a lot of good thumb size buds and they are fairly frosty with trichromes.

On the last grow we had to let them go for 68 days before the trichromes started turning amber.

So we still have 25 days or so for them to fatten up

Yes they are from Clones, also I have 6 of the 30 adjusted for height with block under them.

Those that I planted 4 per pot are straight from clone to bloom are doing great.

It is an interesting experiment, will know more when I weigh them out, if I can keep them seperated.

I wanted the sachet as the shelf life should be longer and I could avoid spills etc:

Powder Feeding

I have ordered and received a 500g of your PF.

I love it.

It came in 50 x 10 g packets.

Does the 1 kilo also come in 10 g packets?

I would like to order 2 kilo, but want it in the 10g packets.

I don't want bulk so that I have to measure it in tea spoons or what ever.
