Green House Bubble Circa 1999

8 posts in this topic

I was wondering if anyone remembers the Green House Bubble around 1999? I've been back to Amsterdam many times since then and cannot find anything remotely close to the Bubble. The sweet flavour was incredible and was disappointed when it disappeared from the menu. Green House Special has been a mainstay of my favourite knockout smokes but I'm sorely missing the Bubble. Does anyone have any idea of how it was grown to be so tasty and sweet?

Any replied would be greatly appreciated.

well i haven't tried her personally, but i guess they probably had a good grower at that time that had a very good clone from the bubble, was bubble or Bubba?

Maybe if franco pass by he will have an answer or an member that was there in that time, but for myself can't say sorry ^^

Good luck man and welcome on the forum ;)

Thanks for your reply Dust, it was Green House Bubble, I'm aware of the Bubba Kush which I plan to grow at some point, that weed I got back in 1999 I'd happily smoke for the rest of my life. :)

Green House is always my first port of call when I arrive at Centraal Station, always stock up before I check into my hotel lol.

I've got some GHSC Super Lemon Haze seeds to try first, hopefully my bud will be half as good or better than what I get in Amsterdam. Really hope I get a sweet pheno when I grow the Bubba Kush.

Thanks for the replies dude :)

yeah you shouldn't be disapointed with the SLH seeds, most of the time they make very nice plants and buds ;)

I tried the Sweet Tooth earlier this year, wasn't anywhere near as sweet as the Green House Bubble. My last trip I walked 40+ miles in 2 days touring all the coffee shops looking for a nice sweet strain, I was bitterly disappointed.

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
