Thanks Dust :)

Here's one looking down on them. I think if I remember rightly they're not even a month old.

They're still not looking for any food. And I lowered the light by 400mm.

Peace my brothers

Yeah Tokage only ph water which I must say is a little strange to me, ive never gone this long without feeding. Mind you this is only my 2nd crop using aero, skipped the hydro thing. There is very mild yellowing on the first leaves that wasn't there yesterday.

Here's the other end of the girls a wee upskirt pic if you like.......

Lol I'm just on after giving my girls some food so I'm glad to find you've suggested that, thanks brother Tokage for keeping me right :)

I've had use the feed I got and gave them 20 grams to the 50L. This has given an Ec of .7 and a Ph of 5.1 . I'm going to check the Ph again in an hour or so and take it from there. Hopefully they'll take off like plants on steroids lol here's a pic of the yellowing I mentioned

Just checked after 2hours Ph 5.3

Looking good, I'm not brave enough to have a set-up like this yet, its hard to tell in the pictures but do they stretch a lot under the LED?

Thank you brother Blixy,

To be fair the first light they were exposed to was a halogen mini flood 100w. Which I wouldnt expect to have the best spectrums, and I think that's why they're a bit stretchy. They were put into 12/12 2 days after I got the led.

Hi Big"G"

5.3 is a very low pH, I recommend that you get on 5.5 to 5.6 during growth or you'll of deficiency poblem

Brother Leopard

Many thanks for bringing such a useful table of info on what nutes are being absorbed at different Ph readings.

Im sure many others will find it most informative also

Peace.

Other than the "scaring" one of the leafs things seem to be going well. The roots are coming on and the main stem on each girl is putting on nice girth. I think it'll be a few more weeks before I put the SCREEN in place.

There's no change in the water conditions........ Ph5.5 Ec .7 and temp around 27deg

Room is kept at 26degC give or take 2-3deg.

I've still to get a carbon filter and some ONA BLOCK. I think this could be a smelly crop, theres been fragrance for a few weeks now but it's mild at the moment.

Thats a really cool set-up..and a damn cool profile pic..coming from someone who grew up in the '80s lol. I've always thought aeroponics was really cool, and I know it's not that technical but it so far seems foreign to me. I haven't seen too many set-ups like this so very cool to see one man. Thanks for sharing!

Peace

Thanks Smokey

This is my 2nd aero grow. The 1st was with a mix pack of seed from which SSH was one of the pack. It did so well with very little care and effort I decided to grow 4 of them this time. Not doing it to sell but to save spending on nameless damp sometimes wet weed. This way I know what im smoking it'll be dry and really nice ;)

I think I may have been a bit quick with the panic of not having the best leaf. I think the girls are just getting used to the feed. But hey that doesnt mean no porn. Im thinking about covering the clay balls due to the last photo, thoughts please my brothers......

Peace

Do you mean to cover them because of fear that the light will hurt the roots?

Yeah Tokage thats what I'm thinking. What do you think? I don't need mould or algae kicking in.

Peace and thank you.

Looking good mate, you could use 4" block covers to stop light getting to the bottoms or make your own by cutting out 4" squares of black & white plastic (the stuff people use to line the walls of growrooms).

Also to ensure a good yield have you considered getting another 90w LED to run side by side?

I've worked with various LEDs for a while now, and ultimately it works out as around 1g per watt if everything else is perfect, just like with other light types.

Hello brother badger

I have though about another led identical to the one I have.

It would still be a good deal lower wattage than the previous 400w set up I had run in the past.

Peace

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
