CANADA - Quebec and British Colombia, PERIOD

From east to west you have commercial as well as artisanal growers.

You have many commercially available strains as well as many exotic hybrids.

Champagne i feel is BCs best strain, I would have to give Jean-Guy LeBlanc the nod for Quebec. Personally I am not into all the hype over the purple kush that seems to be flooding the country for the past 2 - 3 years. The quality just keeps degrading, nothing like the PK i smoked out west in Vancouver.

Yes beasters (M39) is still found out east in abundance but thats because the east coast of the USA has a huge demand and such a small supply even with the surge in growers on the west coast and midwest of the continental United States, they just cant seem to get enough cannabis.

Toronto is the final destination for alot of the domestically produced high quality weed which is not exported. It flows to the west from Quebec and east from British Colombia to Toronto because thats where it commands the highest price per pound in the country. BC and Quebec probably are the top producers in the country. Though if I would have to I'd say that BC have more artisanal growers and Quebec commercial.

None the less, I have smoked alot of really dank exotics in Toronto, and who is to say for sure it wasn't grown in Ontario. But i broke it down from a general perspective.

they are making a TV show??????????????????? finally man it will be so awesome to have a show about marijuana purely dedicated to strain's. they should hunt down the infamous jean guy strain it is by far my favourite all time widow cross, just an amazing strain and it would be amazing to have that strain commercially available i have wanted to find a way to have it released in seed version i no a few guy's that make seed stock from it every year but not on a professional level they also have seed stock at gta seed's but i havent grown it out yet to see if its legit.

M39 has been in abundance in the east of canada especially ontario for the longest time, unfortunally tho the strain is kinda boring and not really worth searching for i have a bias toward's it tho because when i was growing up there was a period of like 3 or 4 year's where that was the only strain i could find and it forced me to quit smoking marijuana because of how bored i got of smoking it now that i can get pretty much any strain i put my mind on finding i smoke like there no tommorow but i need variety. m39 does have some value tho it is a great commercial strain and it is really effective as a pain killer.

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
