hey man, thanks for making a journal :) I moved it to the write section ;)

I hope you will not have any problem with the seeds, some have had problems but some so far are doing good let's hope it continue this way and yours included ;)

Yeah you're right you got the main factors for nice yeilds, light nutes and air ;) so i hope they will give you very nice girils!

You've used that soil before? be careful with waterings i see it doesn't have perlite or something to help it drain a little better and have better aeration, i read has stones in it so might be good but just syaing be careful till you know if you've never used it ^^

Have a god grow man good luck for the cup and keep us updated

Thanks Dust, have tried this mix before and seems to work well, I also intend to use some clay pebbles to aid airiation and drainage. Was planning on using coco sometime soon but am going to stick with what I know for now.

I like how members make compare grows with the Powderfeed. So far i have only seen good reports.

You are right in what you thinking. Small means will get you a long way. Sun, soil and water.

All you need for next time in transplant would be clay pebbles at the bottom and about 20-25% perlite and you are more than ready to go.

Good luck buddy!

Have some clay pebbles ready for transplant time. Not used them for a while so will be intresting to see what happens. Hopefully. The soilmix has some pumic stone in , not sure it is the same as perlite, but will update properly tomorrow ,more photo's and will translate the soil mix as is in dutch!

The babies are now all sprouted, managed to drop 2 seeds in one pot, so now 5 x White Strawberry Skunk. i have topped up the soil and give them some plain tap water (rested overnight). They are shooting up after only 3 days on earth. Felt quite cruel putting them under the light, when closing the cellar door. Like a bad father leaving a child !

Anyway pictures speak a 1000 words apparently.

Here is my update from day 7 , I have planted another WSS (4 days ago) so I now have 6 in total. Not much to say at his point really, they are currently basking under 400 w HPS, maybe overkill but needs must for now. They are all around 7-10 cm and have nice bright green leaves. I am going to start feeding them this week. 3 WSS will be getting the Hesi and 3 WSS and the 1 WW and 1 WR on he Powder feed. As like the idea of a simple all in one feed, keep thing simple. Any questions or obsevations let me know.

Happy growing back soon.

Day 12 mini update pictures, more to follow when decent camera charged as Phone ain't cutting it. All seeds are doing equally well, however i have a couple of the WSS that look like mutants, really crinkly leaves bending downwards and upwards, will post some more pictures of the mutant, this week! Am trialing the clear pot so I will know the second they need more room. Although I am sure i read that light can damage the roots!

Thanks for the news man looking nice :) I have seen that crunked WSS pheno in a friend's room, it will keep the strange leaves, but the growth and structure of the plant is amazing, and as far as i can say he had absolutely no problem with that lady except the uglly leaves, but well as long as she is growing good ;)

looking good mate .... what other nutes you using ?

3 of my WSS plants are on Powerfeeding (Hybrids) along with the WW and White Rhino 2.5g per 10 litre

I also have 3 on Hesi TNT with Hesi Super vit, (helps root development and the allround health of the plant- smells malty!) 3ml per litre!

Been growing about 12 months on my 5th grow, always used hesi so far and had no problems. Like the look of this Greenhouse magic powder feed, add to water one feed suits all stages, so no messing about, and no more expensivel. My mate in the UK was growing for a years and he swears by Hesi, but we will see, so should be available. Watch this space!

ok will do what yields did you get and how big in height where your plants ?

I grow mine up to the 4th internode ,so usually between 150 cm to 180cm - had between 30 - 55 g per plant , varies from strain to strain. Although i have friends who achieve 60 - 120 g per plant, so plenty of room for improvement.

Time for an update day 16, you'll be glad to see got my arse in gear and got the camera working 12 million bad boy pixels!

I have not much to say really, got a bit of moss forming, but watered them just before light went out last time, going to look out for some silver sand should also help reflect any light also, might wait for the repot first as getting that sorted this week, will get some pics when I do the transplant. Have bought some clay pebbles to throw into the mix, so will be upgrading to 12 litre pots shortly, they will stay in these to the end. The White Rhino and The RQS WW are also lapping up the Powder Feed. i have just repotted the RQS WW, as pot was minute.

Do you guys generally put a layer of clay pebbles then the soil into your pots or also mix the clay pebbles into the soil? any advise appreciated as not used with clay pebbles before, as all my grows are/have been done on a shoe-string budget for the moment. ( light, fan)

I have to say in my nutrient comparison, that the HESI v GHF , that the Povwderfeed is showing slight signs of being better than the Hesi, i am baseing this on the stems being slightly fatter than the Hesi fed plants, But early days yet.

Any way the photo's

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
