Flushing Properly DWC

11 posts in this topic

Is this considered flushing properly?

Standalone dwc. 5 Gallon buckets. 4 Gallons of solution. I mixed up a 450ppm bloom solution.

Now what? Do I top with water daily? Do I maintain the ppm's at 450 if it goes down each day?

Aloha ivankov, If the EC goes up add pH corrected water, if the EC goes down add nutrient. It is best to change solution at the end of the week.

Yes that would work fine. You could even use a little bit higher but not over 1 ec

Aloha Tokage, I have always noticed that plants tend to do better without radical changes of the pH and nutrient solution. I try to do things in a gradual way like dealing with fish in a small aquarium. Have you heard in Hawaii there is a Stairway to Heaven?

So do you think flushing with low ec solution is better than a product like florakleen or other flushing solutions?

Also I read the dry and wet cycle in the root zone helps increase ripeness. Im in DWC should I still try to do a dry and wet cycle during flush?

and if your talking about end of the grow final flush...again water does the same as all them products out there. most are mag or sugar and charge for it. and they do nothing. flushing agents are a money grab by the nute co

read it. dont totaly agree. water works just as easy and as well in any medium. problem is most follow recipes and over feed all the time so it takes longer to wash it out at the end. if you do a small bit of run off each time we feed or water and use right ec for the plants needs and the room conditions then food shouldnt ever build up as he claims and need all this attention to a flush. ive tried alot of them and havent tested any diff.

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
