hi,

you collect problems during this week I hope you will give us healed them !!

stress to help the bananas out !!! everything is not done I'll keep an eye good luck

Peace

Thank you my friend , lets hope she makes a full recovery.

I think you produce some alcohol in you pots. :comando:

molasses in water good basis for the reproduction of yeast. And they are produce from carbohydrates - alcohol and CO2 because your plants have died so quickly when level CO2 and alcohol in the solution was critical. And after the roots start die, they also become food for the yeast as their composition is also a carbohydrate.

that's why you have nothing to help your plant as it strangled and eaten all because it lacked sterility additional micro-flora and started on your sugar base.

Last time, maybe you just had to change the water until the roots have started to die, or just used less molasses and sprinkled it lacked to yeast bred too much to kill the roots of the products of its vital

You are 100% correct my friend, wont be using it again and will rather stick to the bud boosters that are specifically made for hydro.

damn srry to hear about that bad adventure man!! you should have listened to the wife :P I can hear her say i tolld youuu :P

Whahahah , no she was good because she could see how upset i was. Things like this happen every now and again and as long as we learn from our mistakes.

sad to hear that the strawberry died, I hope the Damnesia reliably retrieve up well, good continuation friend

Thanks bud , looks like she will pull through , obviously with a little less yield now.

Best of luck with the Damnesia, RIP the WSS. I can see Maggie Thatcher up in heaven smoking your WSS . Do you think the WSS had already hermied or do you think it was the stress.

To true mate , may she be smoking some fat J's up there. Well all this happened in a space of four days so i think the bananas were already there :fie: .

sorry about your baby :( Molasses is a great product but has many risks, what do you think happened to them? fungi?

Thanks man , i literally suffocated them , the old molasses took any available oxygen out of the water because it fermented and then came the root slime after that. Gave the roots a H202 bath and changed the water twice. The only think i did not do right was start off with lower nutes but i did start with a lower ppm and have been topping up the buckets daily.

i was on holiday for that Easter weekend and the water level dropped way to much aswell which probably invited some of it in already and then the old molasses did the rest :alcoholic:

Ah man really sorry to hear about the bad news :( But as you said the WSS had bananas and the Damnesia is still not looking too bad I don't think. Can you get your hands on some Advanced Nutrients Sensizym or another kind of root rejuvenator? I haven't had to deal with root rot yet so I can't say it will work from experience to clean your particular situation, but I can say that I have been using it pretty much every water with no issues and good results I think. Don't ya hate it when the wife is right? Been there many a time lol. Hope things work out and you can finish that pretty Damnesia!

Peace

Thanks man, she has not gotten worse yet but has not grown much either. Showed the wife the post and we had a good giggle , yes they are right sometimes lol ;) Was thinking of getting a product called aquasheild which looks like it might do the trick aswell. Have to wait till the end of the month as money is tight once again ;)

Hi Guys

Day 31

Did a water change this morning. I scrubbed all the buckets with bleach and soaked the air-stones aswell. I only put in ten Grams of powder feed this time as the roots are still recovering which put the ppm at 500. that was with a tsp of cal mag added. i also added some H202 to try and help some more.

There has not been much growth but she has not gotten worse either. there are some new roots shooting through now aswell so lets see what happens in a week or so. She looks a bit defoliated as i try and take off all the damaged fan leaves that are using energy instead of helping.(all the really bad ones) Will post some pics in a couple of days.

Hope you all well ;)

Just some pics to update. I added some pics on the new root growth that has started. Might be a little to late but we will see if she gets some weight soon. Still feeling a bit miffed about this grow but i suppose you got to roll with the punches as they say.

Going to order some botanicare aquasheild at the end of the month. Read some good things about it to help with root rot and brown slime ect. Will be a good thing to have for future grows aswell and might order some proper hydro bud boosters soon aswell, cash allowing lol.

Thanks Dust , i am still not sure if the roots are stained from the hybrid mix but i think it still could have been caused by the molasses incident. Would be nice to know what other people think and if theirs are the same on the hybrid feeding.

Will give it time, and im sure ill start feeling better about her and the mishap soon enough lol.

it didn't have this color before the molasse incident? if not then yes must come from molasse ^^ but i think i remember miminexus and his waterfarm had same color on roots using hybrid powder, or was another member maybe ^^

A mate of mine used some similar system to yours and he always had stained funky coloured roots.

Hey guys

Just a small update. The Damnesia is doing better and nearly fully recovered. I doubt i will get as much off her as was possible because the molasses incident happened at a critical flowering stage but at least ill reap the rewards soon.

Not to much to tell since the last update. I did a water change last week Wednesday and upped the nutes again a bit to 13 grams. No where near the 20 grams i was at before the problem occurred but there has been allot more root growth now so i will up it to 15 grams tomorrow on the next water change.

Hey Guys

Just another update , was late getting to the water change this week so they went ten days. Not to worried as i normally let them run 7-10 before the change. She is starting to put on a little more weight and im sure she will still put on a bit more.

Had a look at the trichomes last night and they were all still mostly clear so there is going to be at least another 2 weeks to go. When they about 80% milky i will then run them just on plain water for another seven days before the chop.

Upped the nutes slightly to 15.5 grams. Hoping the last nutes for the run.

One thing i have learned is the Powder feed is super strong and i have to get used to using slightly less then i i have. But that could also be because i was still using a high ppm after the root problem which caused some burn. But we live and learn and im sure i will get the nack of it soon ;)

Those super fuzzy pistil hairs combined with what looks to be a nicely fattening main cola makes for a very pretty picture (1st pic):) ..I can see a really big difference in size from the last pics. With 2 weeks left I think we will still see quite a bit more weight yet! Congrats brother on doing such a good job saving her making her flourish again  Looking forward to the finish..I'm sure you are too lol

Been a slight learning curve aswell with the powder feed , im now using less than i did on my next run as it really is pretty potent ;) and will find a balance soon . Will have to order more aswell but the postage here is crazy :fie:

Hi Guys , will update pics this weekend for the Damnesia , just thought id show a quick DIY Keif box i made yesterday when i was bored.

I work in IT so had these lying around , its two old Ultrium backup tape covers that i bonded together with a screen in between. So you open one side and throw in you bud. Shake around and poof - Keif lol. Then when there is enough you just open the other side to get.

Maybe it will give someone ideas, thought it was nice and simple and cheap ;)

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
