3 posts in this topic

I'm growing in a DWC hydro system the following strains: Arjan Haze #3, Big Bang & The Cheeses. Here's some a pics:

Big Bang:

The Cheese

I was wondering, since in the videos on the GHS web site, Franco refers to the PH & EC to grow in soil, wich will be the correct PH & EC for hydro?

Thank you

hello, my friend,

In the green house videos, Franco is using rockwool as a medium.

Therefore the EC is the same.

Ph is different;

Rock wool is slightly alkaline, so the nutrient solution as to be slightly acid to compensate for this.

In other mediums:

if Franco is using a Ph of 5.7 in Rock Wool, then in other mediums the Ph should be 2 to 3 points higher; and slightly more neutral in Ph;

therefore, if, in Rock wool, the Ph is 5.7 - in other mediums, the PH should be 5.8 to around 6.

happy growing,

john

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
