how oftwn do I give nutrients?

15 posts in this topic

well you will find diferent thinking among the growers, some people always give nutes, and regular flush every 2 3 weeks more or less, i wouldn't do it on baby girls, on older girls in full flowering they will handle it for some strains but it's not the best for me.

Some other growers will do feeding/water/feeding/water etc etc so once every 2 watering they feed, i use this on sativas or girls that are sensitive on nutes personally, but on most hybrid or indicas like yours it looks more like a good hybrid indica, i would do something like 2 feeding and then water, and 2 feedings and water, until flowering starts and maybe modify it in flowering.

Don't foret to strat slowly your nutes, like 1/4 of the doses indicated, and slowly increase the doses as the girls get bigger. i you use Biogrow, personally i was very rarely putting above 2 to 2,5ml/L hen they were old enough, i never used the 5ml/L..

good luck man

yes feeding is when you add nutrient to our water. and waer is only hard water with PH controled.

And 2/3 days i don't knowmaybe a little more it depends the weather and the setup, but wait fr the girls to be dry and to have leaves that just start getting down

well soil PH personally i never check, it is usefull if you have the good material to do it and understand how the feeding and PH works perfectly. but the soil is here like a buffer beteen your water and the roots, so most of the time if you don't overfeed or something strange it will stay pretty stable the time of your grow. Most important is to check your ph water before you add the nutes. And sometimes if you have a ph meter you can control the water running off of your pots after watering and see if it vary a lot from the PH you have given to your plant, it should stay more or less the same value around 6,5 if you watr with a 6,5 PH etc... not exact value is ok as long as it's let's say 0.3-0.4 diference i don't consider it a big deal.

But as you are begining in growing, first try to focus on giving the correct PH to your girls when you water and don't overfeed them ;)

You will find many info on PH around the forum and on all the tecniques used to control or reglate it. franco also made an article about PH and various other subjects http://www.strainhunters.com/site/index.php/index.html/_/articles/grow-articles/

Good luck man

Funny you think about this we've been talking about it 2 weeks ago :) and i'm sure there are many more to come ;)

Aloha Dust, I have been impressed with the results obtained by average growers of the easy to use Powderfeeding formulas. I salute Arjan & Franco for taking seven years to perfect things to the point where it will become clear you do not need 5+ bottles of nutrient solutions to grow world class buds. I was a little surprised with the high ammonium levels that were not normal. Now looking at the test results seeing is believing.

it all depends on the drainage, how much perlite it has, do you have enough holes on the bottom? the more drainage and lets say 50% perlite the more water or nutrients you can give

if it dries out every 2 or 3 days you can give nutrients, but if it dries out everyday you can add just plain water or beter than plain water is Wormtea the plants love wormtea

I think that once a week that would be perfect feed as Dust says, start with low doses and gradually incrementalas but without overdoing, the plant will tell you what she needs!

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
