Stinky Pete

Hey Guys.

Recently saw the series which I got from a buddy. Googled SH and bham, I'm happy. The forum looks awesome, but I haven't had time to go through everything.

Currently I have 2 ladies Outdoor flowering away. They are about 4 weeks in and looking GOOOOOD. One is a Lemon Skunk and the other is a cross of 60 Day Wonder (Auto) X Big Beast (Reg).

When spring comes I'll start up a topic of my grow list. Got some killer strains ( for me at least ) that I can't wait to try. Also doing a seed test run for a breeder here in South Africa so that's gonna be epic as well.

Anyway, that's me. I just wanted to drop in and say hi.

Love and Light

Thanx for the welcome. I'm sure I'm gonna enjoy this forum.

My lemon skunk seems to have a bit of deficiency but will sort that out. Auto is coming off in a month. Can't wait for that 1. Foxtailing like crazy.

Wow. Thanx for all the welcomes. Much appreciated.

Gaz, my favorite SA strain???

Mmmmm, that a good question. I don't really have a favorite cause around here there isn't much SA based strains (which I know of) but the local ganja that grows here in abundance is Swazi and Tarrie. Both on the low grade of the scale. All of the growers in these parts import there seeds from seedbanks and then play around with them

The 60 x BB that I currently have has a 25% auto trade in her. I'm gonna try and keep that strain alive cause I'm growing the last 1 in this area where I live. And there is no more beans left. Very sad about that.

SA has stabilized its 1st strain but its not released yet. Seeing that the gov doesn't approve of our doings. LoL.

But at this point my Fav strain is a cross of Jedi x Chocoltae Rain x Bubba

Its called Trojan Express

Hey Mopman.

Well there is no name yet but the crosses are:

OG Kush x Bubba 76

The Pure x Bubba 76

It comes from a local breeder yeah. I couldn't resist and dropped a OG KUSH x Bubba in soil. And I was blown away the leafs were fat as hell and smelled great. It turned out a male unfortunately.

Did a test run for a local breeder last year with HUGE yields. I was happy. That was the Trojan Express. I did a Russian Dragon Auto run as well for a dude in Amsterdam. But the seeds has some germination issues.

Swazi is kinda a lower grade of weed around here. Every dealer has swazi to sell. And usually is over dried and NOT cured or badly cured with lots of seeds in. I've grown out some of those bagseed and was pleasantly surprises at how good a strain is. The problem we have around here is that everyone is so drawn to all those killer strains like the Humbolt Purple, OG Kush, Killing Fields and so on that we don't bother with our own strains. I have some Fem Swazi seeds that I'm gonna test in spring to see how stable she is. Then I'm gonna breed a couple of hundred more and spread them throughout South Africa.

Malawi Gold, oh my goodness. I was walking in Cape Town and this Irie brother walked up to me and asked if I wanted some ganja. So of course I said yes and asked what is was. When he said "Malawi Gold" I was blown away and drooling from that moment. Its a really really nice puff bro. Enjoyed it tremendously. Just a pity I don't have any seeds. Would've been an epic grow.

That's about the only real African strains I puffed.

The Swazi skunk here is not good at all , actually growing one now myself so hopefully it will be better than the crappy matchbox Swazi that all the dealers sell. But we wait for the Strain Hunters seed bank to open and then we can test the real Swazi as im sure most of the stuff here is of mixed genetics so not the real Swazi. ;)

Swazi Skunk???

Wow, that sounds like a nice cross.

Sorry if I come forth a bit slow, but what is this about the Strain Hunters Seedbank??? Sounds like something I have to visit. Really keen to give the Malawi a go

Ill let you know how it is , just put it into flowering ;) have a look on you tube for the strain hunter clips. Great Docs to watch. They are creating a new seed bank with all the new genetics from there trips. They went in search of the original land races so cant wait ;)

Been following SH as of late. Loving the hour / hour and a half series's. Will go check out you tube for the clips.

Heard someone ask about Swazi Gold last week. It brought back SOOO much memories from back in the day. Haven't heard that name in years. Looking forward to that grow report

Hey Low.

Thanx for stopping by. Looking forward as always to see your grows.

I started up 2 x Black Moss seeds and 2 x Swazi's. So far they are looking good but growing a bit slow. I was trying my luck on a winter grow but its not such a good idea. Plants have to be moved SO many times with the rain and all. They are 5 or 6 weeks into flower so abandonning this grow will be stupid. I'm just trying to get a decent pic to post, but up until now I only have crap pics. Got me a new camera and its busy charging at the moment.

Got a new phone aswel so I'll upload a snap or a 2 real soon on the forum.

After getting all the stickyness of my hands after handling the plant I saw that budrot made its way into the plant. I managed to get all of it out but its never a nice sight. Luckily it was 3 or 4 small areas that was damaged so no BIG harm was done.

I checked my calendar and saw that the Black Moss is 6 weeks into flower. My initial plan is to take her to 10 weeks.

This is the 1st time I ever experianced rot. Was kinda shocked to be honest. Now I carry my ladies indoor when night time comes.

Mopman, it was about 2 degrees for the past week. I think the plants wouldve gotten a very nice purple to them if I left them outside. Especially the Swazi. But unfortunately with the cold comes mist which just fucks up a grow. But now I've learned what not to do. LokL

They are smelling very nice and sticky as hell.

The word that would probably describe it best is FUCK !!!

Had to chop the Blue Widow 4 weeks ahead of schedule due to the budrot. I thought I had it under control at a stage but after insecting it yesterday I saw that things were developing a bit deeper. Eerie looking fucking stuff. LoL. Lost quite a bit of bud to it. I'm still paranoid as she dries. I keep checking in on her 2 - 3 times a day to see if budrot is still active. Will give a puff report as soon as she is ready.

The swazi on the other hand is doing really well. No rot so far, thank goodness, as she is starting to fatten up nicely. With the cold the buds started developing a purple tinge. It looks so good. She is 7 weeks into flower and I'm aiming for 12 - 14 weeks.
