HAPPY DAY! Seeds arrived from Herbie's today. Great service, no problems. I only have space for two maybe three girls. 3.5'X3.5'X5'. Being my first autoflower grow, I would greatly appreciate any advise, comment or critique of the strains I received to help me make the decision as to which 3pack to start with. Anyone who has grown or smoked these autos is encouraged to reply. I received Lowryder#2, Barney's Critical Rapido, Advanced Biodiesel Mass and as freebies I got Royal Queen's Bluematic and Royal Queen's Royal Cheese. Plan to sprout by April 1st.

Thanks in advance for your response. peace.gif Bongwater

sorry i have grown none of those autos haha ^^

But first advice we got from Franco, is to start your autos with a little bloom nute from the beginning, and if you want a fast grow, put them under 12/12 directly, if you don't care time keep the 18 cycle ;)

I hope someone will come with good advice for you, but there shouldn't be problem with htose babies i hope ;)

I don`t think it is the best way for all users. If you grow auto 12/12 than plant get smaller quantity of light are also buds becoming smaller in volume. Else with short-day plant any way be drawn up, because the shorter the day, the greater the length of inter-nodes in plants. This can be observed in not auto stain after the turn 12/12, they are beginning to creep up more fast, not to bushy and more stretchable. All these factors contribute to the fact that the buds will be less, and the branches with cellulose will be more. If you value space in box and want to have the best results in weight of bud from each square foot and do not depend strongly on the amount of electricity is better to use FIM and bend if suddenly you have at some point of grow will became problems with the size of your plant

Also maybe a deeper pot instead of wide and shallow ;)

This way also take place at an altitude of box. Although I am also a fan of large and deep pot, because the roots are not deep pile up at the bottom of the pot and there it starts getting crowded

That's why i precised, if you want a fast grow and added if you have time go for 18h ;) ;) you know some people prefer to have harvest every 80 90 days nowadays i see it more and more and i understand it, as much as i love all growing techniques i have tried from SOG SCROG wild grow topped grow FIMED grows EXTRA long veg grow, it's really cool, but we still got a TIME factor that is pretty huge compare to small 12/12 grows.

I like both it's just a quetion of personal choice after ^^

If people have more right information than they easier to make a right choice

Although my opinion is that: If orient to light 12/12 then it is better to take the non auto seeds with Indica dominant. then it will be really the best way for good grow, but In this tread the choice has already been made because let this information will remain for those who need be

Thanks, good discussion. I have heard it all now. 12/12, 18/6, 20/4. I wont be doing any LST with the autos as I prefer to let them take their natural shape. I ofcourse would like a large yield of good buds. They will be under and surrounded by about 800 watts of CFLs. I will be using AN sensi grow and bloom (PH perfect) and they will be in 3 gal airpots in coco/ perlite. Now how many hours of light do you think? My space is about 4X4x5. Do you think I can get three adult ladies in that space? Thanks to Franco. I have watched and read lots of his work and have :fan: great respect and admiration.

800w it to many for 3 auto plant. By my self i Grow for this wattage maybe 8-10 standard auto plant. Some auto stain are more bigger then other specifically on hydroponics, and it is hard to say for sure if not grow by my self.

In any case it is necessary to take into account that if the Buds get too close they will not be less, but if leave more empty space then it may as well stay empty until the Harvest

Thanks! I was afraid that was too much CFL light. I will use 6x65 watt and 12x23 watt instead. Early growth under 2x65 watt. Based on what I understood you to say, empty space in the grow space = wasted space. Right? Crowd them in?

ok ok well 800w of cfl i think they would do better in something between 1x1m and 1,2x1,2 i think.

And like mr.neg said it is more about what the plant want and what you want to achieve to determine your light schedule.

Thanks for the quick response Dust. I may have misspoken in my feet to meter conversion. My space is .46 meters X .46 meters and 1.5 meters tall. How many autos can I efficiently grow in this space for maximum yield of bud, and how many watts of CFL light would you recommend? Franco suggested that I begin with a small dose of bloom nutes right away, do you concur? Thanks! ...Bongwater

haha indeed it's not the same ^^ well in that case it's a pretty small area, best would be 1 plant but 1 monster, 2 plants will fit but be tight if you grow them big same for 4 girls it can always fit but will be tight and you have to ask yourself if you prefer 4 smaller girls or 1 in big pot and with i think i the end probably an equal yeild more or less.

And 800w will be a big amount of light in .5m² so keep a big eye open on the heat even if they are cfl ;)
