PH last week of flowering

6 posts in this topic

As a Hydro grower I used PH adjusted water (5.5 to 5.8) during the all process. I found in an article in High Times that you can or should add the water without lowering the pH, with a higher pH the possible mold and botrytis doesnt expand as fast as with a lower pH.

It got my atention because it makes sense, but as I understandt the use of a high PH will block the roots... so I wanted to sumit the subject & get all your opinions, specially from the Grow Gurus that may have several experiences on the mater.

I PH my res, until the last two weeks when I start to flush.

Then I go with straight water, no nothing, whatever the PH is, it is.

The water here is perfect.. i find when i add the nutes they seem to balance the PH in the water always in the range of 5.5-6PH so i dont ajust, but if needed i do ajust for the rez in between every water change 10-14 days then repeat the process.

Yes it generally makes sense to me to not pH the water. This gives the plant more chances to use the juices from the leafs at the end process. Looks to me like a option to controll the last flush.

peace

Hey my friend!

What I do is wen flushing I adjust the ph also, in my opinion it may help the girls to release the nuts from the system...

I use plain water with flush solution and benneficial bugs sprinkled in the medium at that stage too, they help the girls enormously!

Take care, my friend!

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
