aquaponics the more organic hydro systems?

Hi everybody what do you know about this system it is the most organic due to the living fish inside?Can i use the powder feeding?And do you think i can have a big production with the right strain surely?Im asking myself maybe its the best ratio production/organic taste system.So plz come share your experience or your knowlegde if you have one its very hard to find something complete on youtube

Not possible to use powder feeding. The system cannot remove the mineral ferts which will negatively affect the water the fish breath. The aqua phonics systems are closed loops where the water is pooped in to supply N then the plants filter it and return low level nutirent water back to the fish.

The issues being faced by pot growers wanting to use aqua phonics is the addition of P and K the flower beds without it getting back to the fish. It is being done and I saw an article in it the other day although I don't know where?? It was about striking a balance between enough PK to supply the ganja with its needs but only enough so that it is removed before the water is returned to the fish. Maybe the addition of some filtration system after the flower beds and before the fish tank may be possible?? Some sort of osmosis set up. I'm no expert. Google aqua phonics for cannabis, there are a few vids in you tube and some articles about.

Aside from the chance to grow pot in aqua ponics I would love to have a greenhouse/outhouse set up running one of these systems for food (and fun).

you could try bioponic hydro next to fish to avoid the PK problem its similar system with same ph range but no fish just the poop, it is very popular over here among chili growers. when you make a dwc with it you have a layer of gravel, vulcanic rock or other porous medium in the bottom of the bucket/reservoir for the bacteria to live in you can start and feed the bioponic system with existing aquaponic system or aquarium and keep the high PK mix separate

i agree with exodus i don't think you should give PF to the fish lol they will probably not like it ^^ well maybe a dead fish in water gives some nutes too

I want to start a grow room like 7 foot heigh x6x6 large.I want to use powderfeeding. I think hydro system will be more productive but i hope the taste will be awsome like in soil wich one choose. Wich seed from ghs i should use for a room like that

normally with a good flush and maybe a little molasse in the end of grow you can have a very nice taste in hydro too A lot of our members are growing hydro and it seems they like their weed ^^

for the strain you can take pretty much anything you want it depends of what you prefer yourself

I do a good flush , about 10 days with just plain water , no complaints yet

Hey magnumbuddy

Aquaponic's is an amazing system to use for growing just about any plant. However it is a complex system to setup, not due to nutrients, but due to ratio's and calculations needed to be done in order determine such things as amount of water needed, tank size needed, and ratios of water to tank size to fish size etc etc.

I know a long time, oldschool grower who was SO excited to set up a aqua system however the maths and calculations needed was too advanced for him.

Im not saying don't try it, please do, just be ready with your calculator brother
