Week 15 ( Day 2)

Hello Strainhunters

Time for the weekly update , and I am very happy with the girls progress this week. The weather has not been great cloudy with a little sun now and then and only just touching 20c most of the week. Have included next weeks forecast as I am excited at the prospect of a weeks sun. I think I have managed to get rid of all the bugs now aftera double spray this week , but will keep you updated on that.

The girls are really showing the 2 different pheno types now, the lovely Afghan kush dominated plants AF1 and AF3, and the paler Maui haze sativa dominant plant Af2. Af1 is my favourite just at the moment as she has a the best shape and loads of bud spots. The flowers have come on leaps and bounds and you can see in the pictures a couple of shots of the stems from below.

Decided I would revert back to the Shortflower Powderfeed now in approximately week 2 of flowering , as they would not have sent me the short flower feed if it was not best for this strain. So 10g of Short flower powderfeed per 10 litres of undiluted tap water (mixed and aired overnight).

Not a lot else to say really as so simple with the powderfeed and let mother nature do the rest. Enjoy the pictures all named as usual. Apologies about some photo quality but very little more space to upload, and got 7-8 weeks to go , so fingers crossed with that one.

Excellent work continues in the garden of Gaz!! Congrats on the 2 phenos, I find it can almost be like having a different strain sometimes with a different pheno. Great to see the flowers started and congratulations on the nice weather, I hope the forecast didn't change :) Peace

yes can be very nice getting a couple of pheno types, had the same with the Kalashnikova Autos, and have kept them separate as there is definitely a potency difference, between the two.

Weather held till Saturday then rain and 18 not the 29 and sunny as promised lol. Next week down to 5c over night, might need to buy a patio heater at this rate.

Week 16 (day 2)

Here we are in week 16 approximately 4 weeks into flower, the hairs on the flowers have just started growing big time and all have really long white hairs, except AF1 which has a few purple looking ones as well. If the buds fill out those hairs should be a happy man. Have some weather concerns this week down to 5c on a couple of nights this coming week.

Had the girls again on the full strength Short flower powderfeed (10g per 10 litres). The stretch on the stems has definitely stopped and the flowers are putting on some weight slowly. No real issues with bugs, think the last lot of chemical killed them all off.

Some pictures for you, any suggestions on whether I should put them in the garage on these really cold nights we have coming this week – greatly appreciated.

looking great man those plant are sweating healthiness :) nice green everywhere and for sure those little buds will take some nice weight now :)

For the cold nights personally i would put them in the garage, and at the same time it will allow you to give them some nice 12/12 cycle, cause 5° is starting to be very low for the flowers, we don't want mold in there ^^

Have a good flowering hope the sun will still be here in the day ;)

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
