Themac
Hi everyone, I live in Scotland and have a tent up in my attic with my grown in. My temperature is dropping to much when my light goes off, has anyone any tips on what I could do to solve this.
Dust
hi mac, well the only solution is a little heater ^^ you can find some very small oes pretty much everywhere, like the ones you can use in cars etc. it should do the work for a tent i think. What temp do you have at night?
TheOne
Or if it's not too late to move your photoperiod, you could run the lights during night.Otherwise like Dust said, ONLY a heater will do ya
Themac
Depends on the weather outside really, on a cold day I can see it drop right down to 17 when the lights are off. I have no problems when the light is on, just worried about the big drop when its goes off..
gonzosghost
Hey man, im from Scotland also and I just use a tube heater in the flowering room (40w) as it has no lights on it, it wont interrupt the process I use a 2kw classic asda heater for the veg room, it has an orange light on it and a thermostat for when it gets cold, although I've came to realise they shouldn't really be receiving lights either It maintains a constant temp all night I was supposed to be in Spain this summer at my folks place and now it's been cancelled due to growing restrictions. This has made my outdoor journal very interesting Im going for a quick flower in Scottish weather Wish you luck as I need it myself

bozick
Can you also use a small electric radiator?
Dust
yes but make sure it is clean and don't put it near anything ^^ some really old elctric radiator might not be good and emit some little things in the air, but fr recent ones i think it's ok

delta9cloud
Fan Speed Cotroller, primair or something. Have the intake turned to very minimum on idle speed and have your extractor set to just above minimum. And obviously make sure your using an oil filled radiator that can heat the room up. delta9cloud
You can set a maximum temperature so the fan will only kick in when the room is too hot and will just idle speed run when its colder.
ghetto2190
As my new grow room is not so big I have just baught myself a 50watt ceramic heat emitter the ones people use for reptile vivariums and there are brilliant as they don't emit any light I have had mine setup in my little grow room with all my fans on half speed at night and this heater keeps my nighttime temp in between 22-24c bang on for me you should try them as you can pick up from eBay for as little as £
