help me understand powder feeding

Ok, I've been doing research on it and it seems like a product I want to try. I've got some questions. Does the formula have beneficial bacteria or microbes or will I need to add my own? How about silica? Also, I've been using advanced and the bud ignitor (maybe another AN bloom product) claims to produce more budding sites. Will the powder feed eliminate the need for those additives?

The formula is a stright mineral/salt recipe. Anything outside that recipe you got to add on your own. The formula is made to be singel component but it allows you to play around with other recipes and ideas.

For an example, i get very good result with Powderfeed and Advanced Nutes.

As long you think about what you are doing you could add most things. Remember that the PF is made to be a singel component and you can´t go full dose when using some of the other brands with it.

Molasses and flower boosters will work...

Good luck

Hi man, well Tokage said almost everything, it will tecnically indeed eliminate the need for those aditives as it is made to be a one component formula, however some people still like to add a little of it in their mix, along those person some after trying just stick to powderfeeding only, because they didn't see a diference big enough to justify the need to buy those bottles (and it's true that if you are used to run some Advanced nutrient for example it can quickly save some money ^^) and some continue with aditives because they feel better this way an think it's justified, it all depends on the setups etc. But we often say to people the best is to make a comparison grow, put half of your room on PF only and half with boosters, you will see by yourself which one suits your room better :)

good luck man and don't hesitate to have a look at the many PF grow reports we have on the forum
