MrMojo
Namaste this message comes straight from the capital of India.Cheers guys! :DDI'm going to be frank i know gardening but i've never grown my own herb, never thought i'd have to,but i just dont agree with the way things are over here, and i've had enough.so yeah got myself some hawaiian snow, jack herrer, and some nevills haze Couple of problems, its really difficult finding the right soil and you dont get soil rich in nutrients to a really specific level you know what i mean?in india, theres good soil and bad soil hehe but then i guess the plants in the mountains are doing really well so yeah, could you tell me for these strains which soil would be good but in laymans terms so i can explain to whoever or look for the closest thing.merci.Okay so the weather here right now, avg high - 36 low- 27,i know that sucks for an indica but i'm hoping my sativa's are gonna grow crazy! Also i'm just gonna be hitting the herb with just a couple of friends so i dont need to grow all 9 plants together,do you think i can store the seeds for a good couple of months?and plant them later ?also monsoons are almost here,i hope that doesn't change anything ? but the weathers going to drop in a month or 2.what strain do you think i should start growing with?personally i was thinking the hawaiian snow. But i would really like the advice of all you experienced growers.FOR EVERYTHING.Last thing,I dont have the 1' grow cubes, any other non factory made solution? i'm saying thanks to all you guys right now Peace.Hey guys so its been 15 days since my little babe broke soil but i've been checking out some grow journals and instead of spreading out and becoming big my plant is just growing extremely tall.Since this is the first time i'm growing,I dont know what to make of that, also how do i make sure they're females ? Im posting a few pictures in a minute.didn;t have a proper camera!apologies!
Dust
hi man, welcome on the board first of all ^^I'm gonna try to answer a little to some of your questions and maybe help a bit ^^ and i hope the other members will do too For your soil you don't want something to compact or with clay in it, you need to have good aeration, it should hold a little water but also dry fast ( hehe those plants ) if it is really too compact and you can't find something else, mix a little sand with it and some very little gravels it will help to aerate a little, but in the mountains i think you should find a good soil. For the temperature you give, they are in Celsius or fahrenheit? And for your plants you need at least 10° to make sure they don't die, the hawaiian snow might resist a little better than the 2 others she is pretty good in outdoor and resistant, she should not have problem with mold, neville's haze neither ii don't think, but neville haze is not known to be particurly resistant to cold as it's good for tropical zones, so be careful maybe with her, jack herrer could have a little mold if you have a lot of humidity too as she can make some compact buds, but if you keep close eye on them you should be fine just make sure there is never water sitting inside the buds, when it rains go shake them to pull the water out etc..You can store your seeds in a fridge if you have a sealed package that is air tight. otherwise if you have a cool room not too hot ad you put your seeds in the dark and without big temperature changes they can stay like this for sometime. they just don't like beeing exposed to light, air, and high humidity, not too dry neither ^^Good luck man!

Dust
they are nice to start seeds and keep them in small pots for 1 or 2 week before putting in soil, but it's not 100% necessary you can put directly in soil if you want
shamanstrain
I know what you mean. I BELEAVE Dirty pissy water can effect your plant. If your water isn't clean boil it! Soil really doe4s'nt matter, as long as you feed it right.
