using liquid oxygen

hey all

growing outdoor in the valley with local soil may cause some ventilation problems due to lack of oxygen in the soil profile.

i was thinking of adding liquid oxygen (growth technology) to my irrigation water in order to overcome the soil ventilation problems...

what do you think, i know they sometimes treat polluted soils with this so that the bacteria will have enough oxygen to clean the soil and to do it fast...

i will love to hear what you think...

peace love and 420 to all

it is hydrogen peroxide h2o2 17.5% you might be able to get it cheaper from somewhere else than grow shop maybe drugstore if you need it.

tho you should not use it with soil specially if you feed it with organics as it will also kill all the beneficial bacteria and fungi in the soil that break down nutrients for the plant and protect the plant from bad bacteria and fungi.

brewing a dose of worm casting compost tea or buying commercial bennie products is much better choice in the end to get healthy plants to the end and more economical for wallet, most soils are full of them from the get go so you dont need extra inoculation with good soil.

tho h2o2 is excellent disinfectant product for the hydroponic gear between grows and drinking water tanks and bottles as it breaks down to only water and oxygen

  • 2 weeks later...

h2o2 might be poisonous in high concentrations. this thing is also being used in order to stimulate bacteria which are responsible for degradation of organic material. so in the right concentrations it should also stimulate the bacteria and of course supply a bit more oxygen for the roots.
