12/12 from seed: What sort of yield can you expect?

I bought 5 of your Arjans Haze #2 Fem's and 5 Jack Herrer to try in a Ebb in Flo table. I was interested in the yield of them by starting flower from seed.

Thanks!

i eh..... think that that wouldnt really work to be honest

if you want to do something like that go for an automatic variety - 20 hours of light per day start to finish.

but i never heard of 12/12 from seed as regular plants need the photon period of the vegetative light cycle - in nature the plants grow according to the levels of sunlight so they veg in the summer and in autumn they go into fruit

you are welcome to try this as an experiment of course and perhaps report back on it here at sh - but to be honest i think it would effect the plants hormones in a negative way so i wouldnt bother if i was you

hope this helps and if anyone else can give their input on this then am sure they will leave a reply

Why EBB?

The perfect system

1. Has a simple, inexpensive design.

2. Is fully automated and requires as little

day to day maintenance as possible.

3. Is geared for growing your choice of

crops, for instance, the NFT system is

perfect for Lettuce but not for Tomatoes.

4. Wastes almost no water and nutrients.

5. Provides your plants with exactly the

right ratio of air and water to maximize

growth.

Does your system give u all or any of the above?

Plus consider that if the Jack Herer is from GHSC, it'll be an indica dominant plant, if it's from Sensi it'll be more Sativa

I pretty much got my answer from this thread:

http://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/175581-12-12-seed-club-show.html

I chose Ebb & Flow because it is easy to maintain, setup and leave motherplants alone for times on end without having to mess with it or worry about leaks. I have used other methods including Aeroponics which is not so automated. I still use Aeroponic machines for winter growing and clones but it always ends up to be more work in the end.

I will take some photos and video of my grow when I get my Microgarden by American Agritech setup. I have a channel on youtube that i have started a little Journal of my grows. The greenhouse arjans haze #2 and jack herrer will be going into my MicroGarden when the seeds arrive and probably started on 11/13 from seed or maybe 13/11 for a week then onto 11/13.

My Youtube channel is: http://www.youtube.com/user/aeroponicguy?feature=mhum

The first videos are "Sensi Seeds White Skunk" (White Widow x Sensi Super Skunk)

would be good if someone actually done a straight from seed to 12/12 experiment.... i would certainly pull up a chair for that one.....

A friend of mine tried this in a wilma 8 using canna nutes a while ago and we found his average yield was around 1-1.5oz dry from each of the strains he done. It does work but affects quality, quantity and really doesn't do the plant true justice. If a quick yield is what is desired then autoflowers are the way to go. I personally believe that even a few weeks veg/rooting time is prefferable to flowering directly from seed.

Here some grow journals doinf 12/12 from seed.

I was inspired by Dust's grow journals using this method.

The plants will take about 3 to 4 weeks to reach maturity and so to be able to start to flower.

This period of time before the mature is their veg time but the light is still 12/12.

Have a look at the following journals , I think you will like them.

Todays date is 21/1/2013 and my Twilight grow is still in progress, though I think you will like what you see.

I have about 5 weeks untill harvest, but the results so far are looking very positive, if you are interested in LED grow lights , this is my first grow using one and I'm liking it.

Dust's Money Maker 12/12 from seed - maker-20032012/

Dust's Ice Dream & Co. 12/12 from seed -

Dust's Super Lemon Haze 12/12 from seed -

Lamsbread's Twilight 12/12 from seed -

It is a shame you not growing, you have a had some nice journals, they are always good to read with some funny bits of humor too. :D

I hope you got a good stash to keep you in smoke ;)

I look forward to your future journals, keep it steady.

Peace bro

well no wasn't a crime she ended with pretty nice yeild and very nice smoke as all the others :)

For the autos my first auto run on 12/12 was this one with auto bomb from 20 to 35g i think was the results per plant.

After that i've done few more grows with BB auto and some others i can't remembers, most of the time yeild is above 30g per plant and was going around 80days from seed more or less depends on phenotypes, done with a 600w i think 12/12 from seed would be the top! bigger buds probably so more yeilds ^^

i also can't see it working and think its a brave move on your part but would be great to see how that comes if it was to work with a reasonable yield i'd use the method myself i could do with the savings of light to be honest so please let me know how it comes out!

Why did I do 12/12 from seed?

I had some regular fem seeds & wanted to get a quick crop in before I started my World Cup grow.

The reason I didn't start my World Cup grow before the Holidays was due to work and family commitments over that period, which would have made a weekly report impossible.

I was inspired by Dust's 12/12 from seed grows, he had some nice grows using that technique and hats of to him because he was willing to try something new.

I'm sure we all have many preconceptions of what is and what isn't possible when growing weed, but many times I have seen these preconceptions proved not to be true by people who dare to try something new.

Trying something new doesn't always prove to be the way forwards, but you will always learn something from it and when it does come good you''ll be smiling because you have done something others said you couldn't or shouldn't do. ;)

Follow the links posted earlier in post #12 of this thread to see Dust's grow , I'm sure you'll like them. :D

Here is a couple of pics from my 12/12 from seed grow, they still have three weeks to go and will pack on more weight in the last couple of weeks.

I know people who are trying it out but what I have seen is not very promising: the plants do NOT like it, or it seems so,.....the want to grow veg for a while before they flower and react very sensitive. I saw many plants growing surprisingly big in 12/12 but they are not stable: turning yellow and are sensitive to anything......

And you need very stable sees for that: F4 at leat or better F8....

Cees from no mercy supplies advocates this system but it is absolutely untrue, that 12/12 plants from seeds are more healtyh than plantss from clones....

Mhmm, I don't want to hurt your feeling but those plants do not look happy and healthy: red petiols i.e.

I have seen the same here in a 12/12 grow from seeds. The plants only recovered when the were put back in veg 20/4 and then the red petiols changed to green and the plants looked healthy.

I feel that if one is persistent about "failing forward" that success is inevitable with any new venture or challenge. I am all over this 12/12 from seed concept and look forward to recording a journal of my inevitable success. Much love and thanks to Dust for the encouragement. :fan: Peace...bongwater
