UPDATE!!!! DAY 25 12/12!!!!!

OK So the plant's are now receiving the full 1 gram per L dose of Powder Feeding and the ph is set to 6.2. i gave the plant a good flush around day 17 then allowed the medium to dry out to allow air to get to the root's before continuing the regular feeding schedule. so i will be giving it it's second big flush this week on day 28. other then that the flower's are starting to really pick up speed the chemdog's already got a main cola going all three plant's have a small amount of resin on the leaf's and are giving off a really nice smell. so anyway's enough talk here's the photo's !!!

Ok so i thought you guy's might be interested in seeing some bud's of this platinum kush, this strain came to me through i dispensary i would buy the strain all the time as it i one of my most favorite kush's one day i found some a couple seed's in a half quater of bud so i started buying as much of it as i could to get the seed's well i collected a bunch of seed from the bud when i told the owner of the dispensary about it he offered to give me real seed stock of the strain as he was the grower and does he's own breeding in which he gave me permission to use it however i see fit. So here is the bud of the platinum kush from the grower who i acquired the seed's from.

Haha o man, i gotta admit im am really loving the powderfeeding i have tried a number of nutrient's now and i can say powderfeeding give's me the best overall result's when used correctly at the right ph range and dosage per L i mean for me having this much bud development at only 25 day's is insane i mean the chemdog showed preflower's in only 5 day's of 12/12 and now that i am 29 day's in the resin is really starting to pic up on both the chemdog and the bubba, and i don't care what people say about the bubba not being original the smell of the resin on that plant is probably one of the best and sweetest smelling kush's and the chemdog has a really interesting complex aroma as well at first it was really piney but as the resin build's it's taking on a more lemony and dank aroma i can't wait to smell her in full flowering both are really pungent tho and at 29 day's and my whole room stink's of fresh kush

Mate i have 4 Chemdogs in still on flush atm, they are all different, the smell of each is real prominent now, yellowing off dramatically but no real change as to the size of the buds. Until now i thought i was the only one who sucked on the stem of the big fan leaves for taste...... Buds are all shapes, have long buds, short buds, deformed buds and stocky short buds, weird shit man but liking it.

The smell of pine is in one of the plants, one smells like rotten fruit, very pungent, one smells a lot like the OG#18, and one like petrol. i think i have the best of both worlds with these 4 as they will all smoke up differently, but as for budding and plant structure of them all i am looking at minimum manicuring which suits me, and with that is why i ordered another, and received 16 beans.

Here a pic of my fav which smells like rotten fruit, hope you don't mind me putting it up in here. I am still flushing atm, loving the garden and will grow this again.

But yeah man i have no prob with you sharing your photo's, part of the reason i love Green House seed's is that compared to a lot of other seed companies they have a level of transparency ( thank's to this forum) when it come's to what they sell. I mean how many seed companies have a forum dedicated to customer's growing there plant's or where you have a place to go and see hundred's of different plant's grown by different grower's of the same strain. and i no there are a couple with there own forum's but not many as popular and organized as this one !

UPDATE!!!!! DAY 32 of 12/12!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so everything is going really good, after the second flush on day 28 and allowing the plants medium to dry out i resumed my normal feeding schedule. the feeding schedule i use is small frequent feeding's so basically day one feeding with full nutrient's day 2 water and day 3 nothing repeat. my plant's are in only 2 gallon container's so after about 36-42 hour's from watering the container is completely bone dry . the plant's are doing great they all have really nice almost wax covered looking leaf's they are very nice healthy green as well. unfortunately i forgot to switch my fan from it's night time speed to it's day time speed and i burned 1 fan leaf alittle tiny bit but luckly i caught it right away and avoided any serious damage. the platinum kush is looking beautiful as well now that i see that this plant has potential i am gonna do a full run of it when i have free room and do a proper veg on them i am really happy about how this strain is turning out and happy that my friend gifted to me for breeding so i will be growing it again in the near future.

UPDATE!!!!!!!! DAY 40 12/12!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK so just a few quick notes on how the grow's going before i show the pictures ! So far all the plant's are exceeding my expectation's. The chemdawg smell's so strong that if you even lightly touch the bud my hole room reek's. The smell on the chemdawg right now is very piney and citrus but as the day's go on it get's more and more of that oily fuel smell behind it personally i wouldn't grow this strain if smell is of a concern because its really stinky. The bubba kush is so sweet and kushy, i am very used to GH's version of Bubba Kush it is the most popular bubba in Canadian dispensaries differe1 nt then pre 98 bubba but that's not to say it isent a good strain i honestly rate GH bubba in my top kush strain's list because of it's sweet og smell and taste. Then there is the platinum kush for not having a very long veg it seem's this plant will be nice single cola. But even tho the plant wasent vegged as long as i like it's really showing promise as breeding material the leaf's look like they have wax on them they are so deep and shiny and its smell is a very sharp metallic kush smell. AS for the grow in the next 2 day's the plant's will receive it's 3rd flush since going into 12/12 i am basically following the flush schedule from the grow session's video's the plant's are getting full strength powderfeeding and clmag+ because i am using coco as a medium and tap water set out for a minimum of 24hr's ph'd to 6.2.

UPDATE!!!!!!!!! DAY 46 of 12/12!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so thing's are really trucking along now, the Bubba Kush seem's to becoming more OG influanced in the aroma with every day. The Chemdog is really starting to smell like fuel and lemon's with a hint of pine and really stinky when you touch the flower's you can just feel how oily they are already i would imagen this strain to be great for oil or concentrate production. So at the beginning of this week i did a big flush the last flush before the final flush which i will start at least 14 day's before harvesting and the third flush since switching to 12/12. the plant's however still have quite bit of gas left in them so that is just a ruff outline of how i plan on finnishing the crop i see at least 4 weeks left in these plant's if not more. everything else is the same as far as nutrient's are concerned and technique's.

Gorgeous plants 1 as always you bring out the best in the plant's genetics. One thing strikes me with this grow - The various OG Kush crosses from Green House are very dominant. I mean the leaves color and shape, texture and the structure of the plant is more similar than different. Be it the Chemdog, Bubba Kush or in my case the King's Kush. I can see the very same genetics in my 3 KK's you got in both varieties. Even the little Flowers till say end of week 5 are more similaar shaped and colored than variations. The genes from the Sour Diesel, Bubblegum or Grape (King's Kush) just add a certain flavor/twist later in the final buds.

That Platinum Hush seems to be a bit different. Already more resin coated , crystals and a slightly different bud structure make this something special . The leaves have that dark-er wax like coating that reminds me of the White Widow. Maybe the Platinum is somehow related to the White Family !? Ask your breeder buddy about that - maybe Silver Haze, WW or El Nino, White Rhino etc.

I am still waiting for a certain aroma to develop. In late Veg the KK had a nice strong green plant aroma but recently it is nothing much to smell. The White Widow has a stronger, sharp pepper like aroma that dominates the grow room's odor. Wonder when this will change and if I get more of the NYC Diesel or that mandarine/pink or red grapefruit smell everyone is talking about. For me the reason I selected the KK is the OG Kush anyway ....

Nice to watch your grow - so I have an idea what to expect - you are right about the strain eing stable - The 3 plants are very much the same. One is a tad taller than the others, but they are more same-ish than different - Tall, slim wth the same bud structure and leaves.

Waiting for another week to pass by - now the changes are getting major !

hey bam, yeah the King's kush won't have a heavy smell until later in flower and even then it's a real grape weed kinda smell it doesent really smell like grape's but grape strain's have there own smell it really comes through in the king's kush it's also alittle petrol og like but the grape strain aroma dominate's especially in the finished product. but i hear what you are saying about the OG cross's like even tho the Chemdogs leaflet's are a little thinner then the bubba because of the sour diesel in the chem you can clearly see the og in both especially the bubba kush the bubba has a really old school afghan vibe to it but again you also can see the bubblegum influence. I will be honest tho i expected the bubba kush to be sweeter at first it was but as the flowers swell it's becoming more that earthy kushy og aroma but it's really smelling nice it one of the best og aroma's in my opinion. I am really excited about trying it out because i have seen a lot of bubba kush from the pre 98 version to the green house and everything in between so it will be good to compare it because i always hear people saying Green House bubba isent real bubba and this and that so Itll will be good for me to compare and honestly i could care less if it's the original or not as long as it's bomb weed i am happy When it come's to breeding personally i would never use something unless i knew what it was but for personal growing all i care about is the quality of the flower the original genetic's are a bonus but as long as the bud is top shelf i am happy.

As for the platinum kush , I also hear what you are saying about the look's like a white genetic but it's actually not from the white family. My friend has been Breeding with this strain for a long time but just for personal stock. It's a pretty famous strain and has been sold as clone for year's and year's it originate's from north cali i believe. My friend got access to it from a friend in the US who originally bred the strain so my friend was able to acquire a male which he used to make his own seed stock. From what i know about the strain it's a cross of a so cal master kush X a pure afghan variety or at least that's what i have been told it is. I can say tho it is the original platinum kush. Platinum kush is a very popular medicinal variety in Canada but it can't be found in original seed form in Canada because it's spread through cutting's and the original breeder is very tight about giving away male's or regular seed's of the strain.

I hear ya ! Makes sense .. there are quite a few different afgani strains of course it is a really really large area and they breed Kush there since centuries , the Bubble Gum as sweet as it is is def. Afghani in heritage. The amount of gum/pollen is amazing and what I like so much about afgani Hash is the sweet aroma and the nice texture. You canadians should know a lot about the maple Leaf Indica. Don't know if you ever smoked Creamatic ? A strain from Royal Queens Seeds. They got one the sweetest, most tasty afghani genetics for that. Mazar-i-Sharif near the russian border. The sweetest + best + most famous afgani ever. The breeders and local growers made sure to bring the genetics out of the country to preserve when the russian troops invaded Afganistan via that valley. My best buddy was in Mazar in 78 and told me there were ganja plants even in front of the police station...lolAnyway - I am pretty sure some of that type or a related strain is in the Bubble Gummer as well . Btw just today the plants start developing their nice aromas - Don't know if you came across the Caboose yet, but that is also a wonderful aromatic plant. Your plants are not that far from the final weeks it seems .

UPDATE!!!! DAY 53 of 12/12!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so everything so far is going great the plant's are starting to come around, I did something i don't normally do but this time around i am broke and want some bud for my birthday next Wednesday so I cut the top cola of the bubba Kush a little early i cut it off 4 day's ago after a big flush trimmed the bud's up and dryed them fast by lying them out somewhat close to fan i was worried the bud would be really premature but i just smoked a joint and it was actually quite potent and even taste's good i took some picture's of the bud. the chemdog will need the full 70 day's as with the platinum but the rest of the bubba is comming down on day 63. the chemdawg and platinum will get it's last feeding tommorow the bubba has already started the 2 week flush process. My mom is amazing and ordered me a whole slew of new genetic's for my birthday. the amount of freebie's is worth more then what she spent which is awesome. i got some genetic's for future breeding and other's for my next nutrient test grow.

O yeah i wanted the two strain's i bought for a long time the phantom cookie's i wanna use in the future for breeding purpose's and the FBK i have been dying to grow ever since i first heard of it when i found out it was green crack X og kush i just had to buy them the freebie's where just sort of icing on the cake i will admit when i heard of the deal of the month i decided to wait for it to order but who's gonna turn down 6 free seed's if all they have to do was wait a week i didnt expect tho to get so many other freebies that i found out about when i went to order. but you gotta admit giving away over 200$ worth of seed's on a 150$ order is pretty insane i never used to care which seed bank i ordered from but i think from now on attitude is where i am going although the phantom cookie's where quite expensive 100$ for 10 seed's better be worth it from what i have seen of the strain it look's killer so the plan is to hit my platinum kush with the phantom cookies and also my grape dream which i havent shown you guy's yet with the phantom cookie's. the genetic's to phantom cookie's is phantom (cherry pie X grand daddy purple) X bay platinum cookies ( Platinum cookies X BAY 11)

Damn man that's a nice list of genetics, you're fortunate to have a mom that knows you so well About the bubba, I agree with Bam, damn nice buds and look at the trichs, that's got to be some potent as hell bud!! If you say it is early it is but it would be tough for anyone else to know without very close inspection, they look like top shelf for sure! I'm looking forward to seeing your chemdog finish, looks like it's gonna be a really high quality finish and yield as well from what I can see and what an awesome strain.

No doubt about it .. Pantom Cookies sure look special and when they taste as nice as people say about the GIrl's Scout Cookies I am sure you'll love it. Hey you even got a free Green Crack from Humbol so put that bean in use when you find the space + time. I love freebies as much as the next person the more the better BUT you can lose perspective and gow some less than top shelf stuff sometimes - esp. with regulars ... I think that is the reason GHS stopped giving away freebies ? At first I felt kinda let down but now I realize that there is a reason for that Check the catalogue and pick wisely and you got the grow room filled up with the strains you wanted . female seeds usually give away nice freebies, too and a lot even for low budget orders They gave me a 4 pack of C99 once as a freebie- could not believe it. Their most expensive beans...lol

UPDATE!!!!! DAY 61 of 12/12!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so alot has gone on since last update, on day 57 of 12/12 i harvested the rest of the bubba unfortunately i did it in a rush because it was on my birthday and i had thing's to do so unfortunatly i didn't take photo's of the harvest however i took a bunch of picture's today of the bud after drying. for drying the bud i just cut the bud stalk's off the main stem and put them on a drying rack. In my time living in a rented room i have to learn how to dry weed properly in the room i grow the plant's in. I have my plant's in the closet with a 400W light and a fan going all the time plus i have a fan in the window going all the time drawing fresh air in all this is great for the plant's but it creates a bad atmosphere for drying cannabis slowly because of this it isent smart to do wet trimming i personalyl feel wet trimming should only be done if you plan on drying in a climate controlled room if your dry area has dry air with heavy flow the wet trim method the bud's dry to quickly and the volatile and fragile terpenoid's will evaporate leaving your bud smelling like hay and having a bad flavor. so to avoid this happening i feel it's best to leave all the leaf's on while drying and to do a dry trim once the bud is ready for packaging.

So the bubba kush has been drying for 5 day's and is right at the perfect point where the bud is dry enough that the stem's snap but not so dry that the bud crumbles and it smell's like og kush bubblegum heaven. aside from the bubba the platinum and chemdog are doing great both still have a way's to go but are only receiving Ph'd water to adjust the Ph i am using just citric acid powder. everything was grown with Powderfeeding in coco the only other nutrient used was calmag+ because of the growing medium of coco.
