IMPOSSIBLE to answer that! Topping doesn't stop a plant from growing vertically. It slows is down a little bit but that's about as far as that goes.

Unless you train them rigorously, they're gonna all reach 3ft prob I'd say. Unless it's a low ryder auto maybe

It's grow as YOU want. Small pot-smaller plant(soil). Big pot-bigger plant. If You topped will be short. Untopped-gonna grow up. You can bend plant is well. As above "Impossible to answer". but shouldn't be more as 4ft. Has some sativa in it so watch your shark :spiteful: It's HYBRID.

Thanks guys, I have one more question will Topping increase the likely hood of a higher yeild

Will increase the likelihood that you get a bigger yield potentially for sure, but your yield will come from a combo of things like your lights, pot size, plant health, c02, etc.

Topping just produces two bud sites where one would have been. The thing it that you could end up with 2 smaller buds weighing less than the one might have...

Or you get two buds that are nice that weigh as much, or a little more combined, than the one would have....

Just so u guys know im doing an outside grow, Does that at all interfere with topping

Then don't top. Let the plants grow :D All that I said about topping applied to indoor.

If I were outdoor, I wouldn't touch the plants unless I had to.

But lots of ppl top the plants constantly so that it sort of grows into a ball rather than an xmas tree

are you saying you topped your plant?

He's saying he does not top his plants, he ties the down instead.

The idea in tying your plants down(LST-Low Stress Training) is to manipulate the plants auxins so that you get more growth from the "lateral" branches.

Cannabis naturally wants to grow like an xmas tree, and should do so if you don't train it.

But at the very tip-top of the plants are the highest concentrations of a hormone called auxins.

These hormones tell the plants to grow upwards(like an xmas tree), so when you take your plants highest point and bend it down, you redirect these auxins which start looking for a new bud-site to to push upwards. So say you have one main cola growing right now...If you take the main cola and continuously bend it down, you will notice all the buds below it getting bigger.

But If you start tying a plant down while it's young, you will create more bud sites on the plant overall.

You will end up will a few equally dominant "main" colas, as well as some nice sized secondary buds if you do it the right way.

Normally you only end up with one main cola and secondary buds.

Look up LST(Low stress training) on YouTube to see what he mean by "tying the plants down". Supposedly it's less stress than topping a plant, so some choose to go that route rather than topping.

It's all the growers art...Up to you how your plant grows :)

But seriously, outdoor there isn't a need to do anything to the plant unless you want to. Outdoor it seems like all the branches get enough light to max out production as long as you have a good spot.
