Hey guys

The waiting was killing me and finally the time has arrived where I lost all will power to resist putting a bean into the ground. This strain was bred by a South African Grower and I was blessed to test it for him. He hasn't given the srain a name yet so until then it'll remain the current name.

I have prepared a 15L pot for her and I'm going with a soilless mix. I have watched through the window during the coco/perlite volumes discussion thread and went that route. But I slightly altered my mix. I placed it outdoors for a test run and found that after 1 and a half days , the 1st 10- 15 cm part of the mix is dry , but the pot still feels slightly heavy so that means the it stays wetter on the bottom. I reckon this way is good. Or should it dry out evenly ???

I'm going with Chem Nutes again. I haven't yet gone on a road trip to the town where I buy the seadird guno. That should be with in the next 2 months only.

I've read a lot about Lime. Should I add that to a mix with a neutral ph ???

But anyway. Attached is a pic from the start of the process. The seed already sank and was planted into the same type of mix as above but only with some nice compost added extra and placed close under a 85W cfl.

Will post a pic of the birth process if timing is good. LoL

Util later

hi man, thanks for opening a journal once again for us :) for your soil the best is to have a uniform drying but if it goes just a slightly more slowly at the bottom they will not mind as long as you are atentive with your watering frequency and the amount you give.

for the lime i don't use it so can not tell you rather yes or no it is better :)

Have a good grow man keep us updated on those future monsters ;)

Hey Dust.

Thanx for the good energy man. Much appreciated.

I'll open journals on a weekly basis if space allowed it. LoL.

I'm hoping for some decent size auto growth. Last time I grew this I planted in the beginning of flower season so yields were crap.

Breeder said it should reach 45cm in height so I'm hoping for that. This plant had smells that I couldn't describe and the puff was taste blowing.

Can't wait for growth to start.

Well then Dust, here she is this morning.

I just had a chat with the guy I got the auto's from and we chatted about breeding onwards with this strain, he actually warned me against it. Apparantly these beans comes from a dude in Netherlands that's breeds auto's. The testers he send out were pushed to the brink, right before hermie or something. So if I go and spray this one with CS, then she will definately become a hermie. Or there's a 90% chance.

So my plans to breed some xtra auto's for myself is now only a fond memory.

At least I will have some good times with her once dried and cured.

This one is going strong and still looking, well, like a seedling.....

I planted the 2nd auto this morning so soon there will be another and next week I'll plant my 3rd and final bean. Hopefully they do better this time around cause last time I planted them, they were small as fuck. Had like a 3g harvest.

That's the crap with F1's I guess. But still a brilliant puff

Just an update on the grow.

I planted Seed #2 on Saturday and she this morning I found her sticking her head out. When I dropped the bean in water, it sank within 5 seconds. So I moved along to planting it. This hasn't happened to me in a while. Normally I wait 3 days.

So yeah, the 2nd Auto is alive. I'm gonna do a 100% coco grow with this 1. Really interested in how the plants grow in it.

Santa x Chaze Number #2.

She is looking WAY better than the older 1. I tried to upload pics of both but unfortunately the 1 didn't want to. I will try again at a later stage.

I'm transplanting today into final container. Will be a compost/perlite mix cause I think my coco is infected. So I don't wanna chance it.

Ahoya.

So I was getting ready to repot as usual and thought I'd share my mix with all of you.

Ingredients :

Perlite

Compost

Bonemeal

Dolomite Lime

Worm Castings

Red Wigglers

Banana Peels

The perlite and Compost is a 50 50 mix. Bonemeal and lime is a handfull each and worm castings along with worms is 2 hands full. I'm not sure how many worms are going into this mix cause I just scooped from the bin and worked it in.

Banana peels added to the soil is a new thing I'm trying out. I read that as the peel decomposes, it leaves behind extra N&K. If not, then the worms will have xtra chow. LoL.

Pic 1 is just all the ingredients all together

Pic 2 is all the ingredients in the new pot ready for mixing

Pic 3 is the newly planted Auto. Now known as Mr.Smiley

The repot did not go as good as I planned. The whole soil ball collapsed and the roots were pretty disturbed. I hope she recovers soon cause it was mentioned to me that the plants don't like stress at all.

FUCK ! ! !

She is doing so good at this moment. The growth is strong and fast. The topping recovery did take a bit longer than what I wanted but at least its back to growing again. I guess tha rain these past 3 days surely helped a bit.

The down side is that a few spider mites came along from somewhere. But I killed the ones I saw and tomorrow moring I'll spray my garlic spray again. That stuff works great.

No sex has been shown but I have strong feeling its a lady. Still very dissapointed about the one that turned male. Was really hoping for a 2 plant harvest.

Love and Light
