Hey guys this is my first test grow and my baby is about 3 weeks old. At first all the stems were green but then as the plant grows the lower leaf stems turn deep purple but main stalk remains green. She was on a 1/2 nutrient solution in a DWC. As soon as I noticed change I put her strait back to ph'ed water and calmag solution. since then nothing has changed but she still looks healthy to me and continues to grow normally. If you guys could explain what is going on that would be appreciated oh and the strain name was Sour Lemon started from seed. Thanks a lot!!!

i thinks its normal.. leaf stems.. and branches are different.. if it was branches turning purple.. that would be a different matter.. and probably caused from some kind of def, i think.. magnesium..or manganese from memory which could be caused from ph fluctuation...

to me that plant looks very healthy.. and i wouldnt be changing anything at all

thank you!!! I was very nervous, being it my first time and a hydro setup, I thought I screwed up some where I can now rest easy!

es it is kind of normal, or at least it happens on most of the seedling, even if it's not normal ^^ Like sukon said it could be due to a very very slight def on the plant, but nothing that would need an extreme adjustment for sure. It can also happen when your nights are getting a little cold and if you have big gaps between your night and day temps, sometimes it turns a little purple like this. but llike sukon she looks happy for me :) don't forget to increase her feeding slowly alongside with her growth ;)

Have a good grow
