Taking clones from autoflower plants.

3 posts in this topic

Hello,

I found some information on the internet that you cant take clones from autoflowers, pure autoflowers (what ever this means, i dont know). Something about the plant age, when you take the clone it doest "reset" the plants timer. Example, if the mother is 20 days old when you take the clones and normally it will start flowering at 30 days, the clone will start flowering also in 10 days (20+10).. I m just wondering because the big bang auto, as i think need the 12-18 hour light cycle to start flowering, right??

So my guestion is, can i take clones from Autoflower Big Bang?

clones from auto will not reset and would therefore grow 10 days after rooting and start flowering , cutting mother will effect yield also. so it is not recomnmended to take clones from auto strains. best is to grow from seed :D

Agreed. Cloning autos is not something that normally works out. That's why auto lovers tend to make a few seeds every run so they can keep their favorites around.

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
