which is better- glass bong or acrylic bong?

i am thinking of buying a bong, its going to be my first... i usually use a chillum or home made bongs... i was checking the net but got confused by seeing all these different types of bongs and percolators... can some body give me an advice regarding this ?

I like glass bongs :] Never used acrylic but glass bongs break so easy

well i like bongs that have at least 2 chambers and a peculator. :] just my preference

to start,without a doubt glass!

inert medium that wont add anything to your chosen smoke.

acrylic is potentially nasty when heated,and the downpipes supplied can sometimes also be questionable for your health material wise(alu)

With regard to multi chamber and perc's,great if done properly,but perc knock offs can sometimes be difficult to pull and multi chamber percs are a right bithc to clean.

unfortunately i am in SA,so the glass market is different,but black leaf are decent for a good price locally,ROOR...are just so damned expensive.

if going large bong,get thick glass(4mm+),thin glass is false economy,they break sooner.

as a first pipe,why not try a bubbler,super thick glass,compact design and relatively cheap compared,much harder to break

I got both and glass all the way. I don't even use acrylic one any more.

EHLE bongs, are the best value for money, for some quality!!

if not chinesse glass bongs for nearly nothing in any parafernalia shop

 

IMHO, better spend a bit more and buy somethimg a bit better from the beggining.

I would say glass, and further than glass i would say good glass If it's good silicate then its even better i believe as it resist even better to temps, and quartz is the best for the people i dont like too much personally and im not even sure they make full quartz bongs
