Arjan's Haze #3 Grow log Week 4 12/12 UPDATED

22 posts in this topic

I thought i might do a grow journal on my Arjan's Haze #3.

When i first got my beans It was difficult to find much info on the strains except from the greenhouse files and i only wish i could grow like them but i found it hard to get pics and tips from amateur growers.....That was till i found this great siteteeth_smile.gif

I am growing this in Cocco/perlite 50/50 mix.

Advanced nutrients Sensi Grow.

Temp is around 24 deg c

Ph of 5.8 - 6.2

Flushed every second week with a ph of 5.7

The first 2 pics is from 2 weeks old before transplanting

Third is where we are at now... been in the new pot 40-50 litre for about a week..

I wanted a fair bit of room as by the end of my grow there will only be two plants in there a haze #3 and a haze #1 which is still in seedling stage.

If you guys dont mind when the #1 is up and running i might include that in the report too.

I am looking for all the advice i can get as i have never grown sativas before and this will be a good journeyshades_smile.gifPIC_0006.JPGPIC_0009.JPGPIC_0016_0.JPG

I was just watching the grow DVD on this haze #3 again...... When i noticed that they turned them in their third to fourth week of vege... How many nodes do i need to turn them as next week will be three weeks and i aint sure about that kind of stuff as i dont want a two metre monster lol.

they have already doubled in size compared to the photos and the node space is under 1/2 an inch... but it looks EXACTLY THE SAME as the photos in the catalog on the website.

I think you have to watch for preflowers first, as this being a short bushy sativa she will not get as big as other sativas...

take care

Does anyone think i should cull the bottom branches of the haze#3? The leaves are huge down the bottom and they are shading alot out and franco and arjan do it in the video?

aussie haze luver... All your girls look very good, the only reason to cut the lower leaves is to allow the air to flow down from the bottom, if the air is flowing ok there is no need to, if its not it will improve your yield a bit. Good work buddy!!!!

looking good my friend, but I can see some problems with the haze 3.

Sativas do not like high EC levels, nor do they like too much water.

Cut back on your wastering cycle and let her dry out between waterings.

Then haze 3 will improve out of sight.

happy growing,

john

Ok here we are on day 14 .

I have some pics of the haze #3. She is light green but we have had painters around for the last three days and she hasnt had any light.

A good feed was given and she is looking very healthy.

I am surprised at how exact they are with the Green House Vids.

The internode distance is wow...almost non existant....

I have taken the bottom two branches off like they did in the video as the bottom leaves were huge and was stopping air flow.

She is 65 centimetres or 26 inches.

Does anyone know how long the stretch goes for with the Arjan's Haze #3? I have heaps of room so it is not worrying.

Ec of 1.8 and ph of 6.1

Ok time to show what is happening with the others.

Road runner fem is on day 60 yeehaaaw!!

But i am gonna let her go a bit longer another 3 or 4 days.

Had a quick smoke and damn i didnt know that autos could be that potent.

One thing i cant figure is look at the plant next to it... It is the same strain????

Damn big difference.. hope it has a sack or two of golden goodness to help with the other one..

The Arjan's Haze #1 is climbing tall.

HANDY HINT= Use your wifes or your mothers stockings to tie up your plants when it is staking time.It doesn't cut into the stem and is UV stable.. I use it on my tomatoes.shades_smile.gif

Last is the cindy.. stretch almost finished...PIC_0006_2.JPGPIC_0007_0.JPGPIC_0008_0.JPGPIC_0011.JPG

hi mate,

You have 2 different phenotypes there.( sisters )

Both have a sativa parent(could be from south India or Nepal);

one has taken after its Afghani mother( or could be Moroccan) ; the other plant her Nepalese or South Indian father(could be either, or I may be wrong!) happy growing, john

About us

Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at informing the general public about the quest for the preservation of the cannabis plant in the form of particularly vulnerable landraces originating in the poorest areas of the planet.

Cannabis, one of the most ancient plants known to man, used in every civilisation all over the world for medicinal and recreational purposes, is facing a very real threat of extinction. One day these plants could be helpful in developing better medications for the sick and the suffering. We feel it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces in our genetic database, and by breeding them into other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
