Started my rooms up few weeks ago, and since I joined this forum I thought I'd document the grow(s) here. I'll add pics & info from earlier in the process as well as keep the grow-journal current, then give a review of each strain before moving on to other strains.

Here is the full list of strains being followed in this grow:

  •     Pineapple Chunk (Barney's) - 4 plants
  •     Royal Medic (Royal Queen Seeds) - 3 plants
  •     MK-Ultra (TH Seeds) -1 Plant
  •     White Widow x Big Bud -1 Plant
  •     Critical (Royal Queen Seeds) - 2 Plants
  •     Critical Hog (TH Seeds) - 1 plant
  •     Blueberry Gum (G-13 Labs) - 2 Plants
  •     Flower Power (Royal Queen Seeds) - 1 Plant
  •     Cotton Candy (Delicious Seeds) - 2 Plants
  •     Strawberry Blue (World of Seeds) - 1 Plant

One note before continuing: The "Money Maker" Strain from Strain Hunters will have to wait, as it's been germing, and never sprouted. I'll add it to the journal once I get some more of the seeds.

Here is the stat sheet for these strains (as well as info on germing seedlings):

I'll be updating the pictures pretty soon (probably in a few hours). I'll have updated pictures of all of the plants. I'll also add in the growth rate for each plant. They were last measured today.

Look at the first post to see how long each plant has been Flowering or Vegging.

Yop! Thanks for opening a journal, looking clean and steady in there :) What software are you using for your plants? its only for you to keep not or you control some other things with it?

I will stick around to follow and see how all this grows ;)

Have a good grow!

Thanks for sharing, hope you get your posting issues fixed as I'm looking forward to following your grow.

You're welcome, and yes, the posting issues seem to have fixed themselves. Should have these other pics and measurements posted soon.

The Software is just a jumped-up version of Herb IQ. I have it tracking 6 growrooms and 172 plants. Nice little tool to use in-place of a regular log. Allows you to do some "testing", and with all the stats it keeps on various detail of your grows, the information you get will make changes much simpler for future Grows. I have another software program that is a "diary" that I use as a regular type log - which gives more room for longer thoughts on your current grow, than HrbIQ, which is mainly statistic logging.

Anyways, thanks for watching. :)

Here are some updated pictures of the Pineapple Chunk plants. One was attacked by a lunatic cat, but was saved when said cat decided it would be wiser to stay out of

the plant-area, and have a comfy home - as opposed to getting thrown out the door down to the rail-road tracks. Smart kitty!!! :P

Anyhow...

Been in a hurry all week, so it's been a little hectic. Had the plants watered too much, the PH wasn't balanced, EC was off, and my Son had 3 events with cub-scouts, plus they're going an extra hour a day to make-up for all the snow days.

Oh yeah, and all the clones died because of bacteria in one of the cloners. So, I've scrapped all the cloners, and will rebuild one today & get new clones going.

Here is the growth rate for the last 7 days (as of the 14th):

Pineapple Chunk-A .... Flowering for 11 days (as of these measurements, and pictures)

  • 04/08/2014 - 5 1/2" (13.335 cm)
  • 04/14/2014 - 12 3/4" (32.385 cm)

Pineapple Chunk-B .... Flowering for 11 days (as of these measurements, and pictures)

  • 04/08/2014 - 9 3/4" (24.765 cm)
  • 04/14/2014 - 15"  (38.1 cm)

Pineapple Chunk-C .... Flowering for 11 days (as of these measurements, and pictures)

  • 04/08/2014 - 11 3/4" (29.845 cm)
  • 04/14/2014 - 21 3/4" (55.245 cm)

Pineapple Chunk-C .... Flowering for 11 days (as of these measurements, and pictures)

  • 04/08/2014 - 15" (38.1 cm)
  • 04/14/2014 - 24 1/2" (62.23 cm)

These pictures were taken this morning at about 5am. All 12 of these plants will be getting re-potted into 3 & 5 gallon grow-bags (depending on the plant). Once they are all re-potted, moved, watered and I take a break, I will take updated pictures of them in the grow-rooms.

Until then, here are the pictures from this morning:

Didn't put a close-up of each plant in this post, as there are too many. Noticed the plants are a little low on nitrogen (yellowing), and I'll fix that during the re-pot.

Thanks for the pictures man, how are the ladies doing with the little burns they had last time? Looked a little bit like a nutrient absorption problem, You check your PH runoff?

Beside this they are doing nice, good shape :) And lets hope the flowering will give them an even better Shape ;)

Have a good grow

Burns were due to water lines being changed (city, not us), which changed the PH. We fixed it. :)

Thanks for posting.

I'll be updating the height measurements for grow-room 2 today. The plants in GR1 (Pineapple Chunk) will not likely get measured again, as their height spurts are pretty-much done, and it's down to blooming now.

  • I may put a screen in GR1 for the 4 Pineapple-chunks (depending on available time).

Hello there im not used to this kind of thing its cool are you using a computer program to run lights and water or am I way off really like that you are doing so many strains cotton candy is a lovely smoke I will be watching so interesting peace to you

I'm using the program to track everything, but not to actually "run" everything. The program tracks buyers, their buying habits, their license; Height tracking, their hours of use; bulbs; nutrients - with graphs showing what levels the plants respond best to; Room environment, sensor readings, etc.; Finances, and notes - as well as picture updates.

  • The original program is called "Herb I.Q.".
  • I added some things to the program, as it is no-longer updated. The things I added:
  1.  A multi-purpose alarm that sends a text to my cell-phone for reminders (Water, supplies, etc).
  2. A Log system that is an upgrade from the "notes" option originally included in the program.
  3. A "suggestion" routine that analyzes what is working best for the plants (this routine tracks each plant separately, and gives suggestions for each plant individually. It still has quite a few bugs, and sends way too many suggestions; 30% - or so - which aren't useful. Would like to get that number down to 5%.
  4. A better more advanced finance-tracking routine.
  5. Upgraded picture routine that send pictures from your smart-phone to the program.

Once the final program is complete, it will be re-written, and added to Open Source initiative, for all to use free of charge.

Picture updates:

  • Pineapple Chunk(s):

  • 103_2546_zps81516438.jpg

(Plants are beginning to bud. Height tracking has plants between  28" - 38" after 28 days flowering (14 days vegging). They are a little under half way through their flowering stage.)

  • The other 10 plants:

  • (White Widow X Big Bud; Critical Hog; Critical [2]; MK-Ultra; Blueberry Gum[2]; Cotton Candy; Strawberry Blue; Flower Power): Flowering for 9 days, 6"-15" tall.)
